Proverbs 1:2To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding; To have knowledge of wise teaching; to be clear about the words of reason:to know wisdom and instruction; to discern the words of understanding;To know wisdom, and instruction:
Proverbs 1:3To receive instruction in wise dealing, In righteousness and justice and equity; To be trained in the ways of wisdom, in righteousness and judging truly and straight behaviour:to receive the instruction of wisdom, righteousness and judgment, and equity;To understand the words of prudence: and to receive the instruction of doctrine, justice, and judgment, and equity:
Proverbs 1:4To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion: To make the simple-minded sharp, and to give the young man knowledge, and serious purpose:to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.To give subtilty to little ones, to the young man knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 1:5That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain unto sound counsels: (The wise man, hearing, will get greater learning, and the acts of the man of good sense will be wisely guided:)He that is wise will hear, and will increase learning; and the intelligent will gain wise counsels:A wise man shall hear and shall be wiser: and he that understandeth, shall possess governments.

Proverbs 1:7The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; [But] the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge: but the foolish have no use for wisdom and teaching.The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge: fools despise wisdom and instruction.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 1:9For they shall be a chaplet of grace unto thy head, And chains about thy neck. Proverbs 1:19So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; It taketh away the life of the owners thereof. Such is the fate of everyone who goes in search of profit; it takes away the life of its owners.So are the paths of every one that is greedy of gain: it taketh away the life of its possessors.So the wage of every covetous man destroy the souls of the possessors.
Proverbs 1:20Wisdom crieth aloud in the street; She uttereth her voice in the broad places; Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places;Wisdom crieth without; she raiseth her voice in the broadways;Wisdom preacheth abroad, she uttereth her voice in the streets:
Proverbs 1:21She crieth in the chief place of concourse; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she uttereth her words: Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town:she calleth in the chief [place] of concourse, in the entry of the gates; in the city she uttereth her words:At the head of multitudes she crieth out, in the entrance of the gates of the city she uttereth her words, saying:
Proverbs 1:22How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge? How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge?How long, simple ones, will ye love simpleness, and scorners take pleasure in their scorning, and the foolish hate knowledge?O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which are hurtful to themselves, and the unwise hate knowledge?
Proverbs 1:23Turn you at my reproof: Behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make known my words unto you. Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour forth my spirit unto you, I will make known to you my words.Turn ye at my reproof: behold I will utter my spirit to you, and will shew you my words.

Proverbs 1:25But ye have set at nought all my counsel, And would none of my reproof: You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words:and ye have rejected all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:You have despised all my counsel, and have neglected my reprehensions.

When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you.when your fear cometh as sudden destruction, and your calamity cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish come upon you:When sudden calamity shall fall on you, and destruction, as a tempest, shall be at hand: when tribulation and distress shall come upon you:

Proverbs 1:32For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, And the careless ease of fools shall destroy them. Proverbs 1:33But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely, And shall be quiet without fear of evil. But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of evil.But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be at rest from fear of evil.But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.
