| Psalms 26:1 | Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in Jehovah without wavering. | <Of David.> O Lord, be my judge, for my behaviour has been upright: I have put my faith in the Lord, I am not in danger of slipping. | {[A Psalm] of David.} Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have confided in Jehovah: I shall not slip. | The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid? |
| Psalms 26:2 | Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; Try my heart and my mind. | Put me in the scales, O Lord, so that I may be tested; let the fire make clean my thoughts and my heart. | Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart: | Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen. |
