| Psalms 1:1 | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers: | Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord. | Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence. | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners; |
| Psalms 1:2 | But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night. | But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night. | But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night. | But his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. |
| Psalms 1:3 | And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also doth not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. | He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will ever be green; and he will do well in all his undertakings. | And he shall be like a tree which is planted near the running waters, which shall bring forth its fruit, in due season. And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whosoever he shall do shall prosper. | And he [is] as a tree planted by brooks of water, which giveth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf fadeth not; and all that he doeth prospereth. |
| Psalms 1:4 | The wicked are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. | The evil-doers are not so; but are like the dust from the grain, which the wind takes away. | Not so the wicked, not so: but like the dust, which the wind driveth from the face of the earth. | The wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind driveth away. |
| Psalms 1:5 | Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. | For this cause there will be no mercy for sinners when they are judged, and the evil-doers will have no place among the upright, | Therefore the wicked shall not rise again in judgment: nor sinners in the council of the just. | Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. |
| Psalms 1:6 | For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous; But the way of the wicked shall perish. Psalm 2 | Because the Lord sees the way of the upright, but the end of the sinner is destruction. | For the Lord knoweth the way of the just: and the way of the wicked shall perish. | For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish. |
