| Psalms 10:1 | Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? | Why do you keep far away, O Lord? why are you not to be seen in times of trouble? | Why, O Lord, hast thou retired afar off? why dost thou slight us in our wants, in the time of trouble? | Why, Jehovah, dost Thou stand at a distance? Thou dost hide in times of adversity, |
| Psalms 10:2 | In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived. | The evil-doer in his pride is cruel to the poor; let him be taken by the tricks of his invention. | Unto the end.
