Psalms 20:1Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; The name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high; <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> May the Lord give ear to you in the day of trouble; may you be placed on high by the name of the God of Jacob;Unto the end. A psalm for David.To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. Jehovah doth answer thee, In a day of adversity, The name of the God of Jacob doth set thee on high,
Psalms 20:2Send thee help from the sanctuary, And strengthen thee out of Zion; May he send you help from the holy place, and give you strength from Zion;In thy strength, O Lord, the king shall joy; and in thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly.He doth send thy help from the sanctuary, And from Zion doth support thee,
Psalms 20:3Remember all thy offerings, And accept thy burnt-sacrifice; Selah May he keep all your offerings in mind, and be pleased with the fat of your burned offerings; (Selah.)Thou hast given him his heart's desire: end hast not withholden from him the will of his lips.He doth remember all thy presents, And thy burnt-offering doth reduce to ashes. Selah.
Psalms 20:4Grant thee thy heart's desire, And fulfil all thy counsel. May he give you your heart's desire, and put all your purposes into effect.For thou hast prevented him with blessings of sweetness: thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones.He doth give to thee according to thy heart, And all thy counsel doth fulfil.
Psalms 20:5We will triumph in thy salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners: Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions. We will be glad in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will put up our flags: may the Lord give you all your requests.He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever.We sing of thy salvation, And in the name of our God set up a banner. Jehovah doth fulfil all thy requests.
Psalms 20:6Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; He will answer him from his holy heaven With the saving strength of his right hand. Now am I certain that the Lord gives salvation to his king; he will give him an answer from his holy heaven with the strength of salvation in his right hand.His glory is great in thy salvation: glory and great beauty shalt thou lay upon him.Now I have known That Jehovah hath saved His anointed, He answereth him from His holy heavens, With the saving might of His right hand.
Psalms 20:7Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; But we will make mention of the name of Jehovah our God. Some put their faith in carriages and some in horses; but we will be strong in the name of the Lord our God.For thou shalt give him to be a blessing for ever and ever: thou shalt make him joyful in gladness with thy countenance.Some of chariots, and some of horses, And we of the name of Jehovah our God Make mention.
Psalms 20:8They are bowed down and fallen; But we are risen, and stand upright. They are bent down and made low; but we have been lifted up.For the king hopeth in the Lord: and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.They they have bowed and have fallen, And we have risen and station ourselves upright.
Psalms 20:9Save, Jehovah: Let the King answer us when we call. Psalm 21 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Come to our help, Lord: let the king give ear to our cry.Let thy hand be found by all thy enemies: let thy right hand find out all them that hate thee.O Jehovah, save the king, He doth answer us in the day we call!
