1st-Corinthians 11:1Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ. So take me for your example, even as I take Christ for mine.Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.Be ye followers of me, as I also am of Christ.
1st-Corinthians 11:2Now I praise you that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you. Now I am pleased to see that you keep me in memory in all things, and that you give attention to the teaching which was handed down from me to you.Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.Now I praise you, brethren, that in all things you are mindful of me: and keep my ordinances as I have delivered them to you.
1st-Corinthians 11:3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. But it is important for you to keep this fact in mind, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1st-Corinthians 11:4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head. Every man who takes part in prayer, or gives teaching as a prophet, with his head covered, puts shame on his head.Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head.
1st-Corinthians 11:5But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonoreth her head; for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven. But every woman who does so with her head unveiled, puts shame on her head: for it is the same as if her hair was cut off.But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. But every woman praying or prophesying with her head not covered, disgraceth her head: for it is all one as if she were shaven.
1st-Corinthians 11:6For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled. For if a woman is not veiled, let her hair be cut off; but if it is a shame to a woman to have her hair cut off, let her be veiled. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For if a woman be not covered, let her be shorn. But if it be a shame to a woman to be shorn or made bald, let her cover her head.
1st-Corinthians 11:7For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For it is not right for a man to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.The man indeed ought not to cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.
1st-Corinthians 11:8For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man: For the man did not come from the woman, but the woman from the man.For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man.
1st-Corinthians 11:9for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man: And the man was not made for the woman, but the woman for the man.Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.For the man was not created for the woman, but the woman for the man.
1st-Corinthians 11:10for this cause ought the woman to have [a sign of] authority on her head, because of the angels. For this reason it is right for the woman to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. Therefore ought the woman to have a power over her head, because of the angels.
1st-Corinthians 11:11Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord. But the woman is not separate from the man, and the man is not separate from the woman in the Lord.Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. But yet neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1st-Corinthians 11:12For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God. For as the woman is from the man, so the man is through the woman; but all things are from God.For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.For as the woman is of the man, so also is the man by the woman: but all things of God.
1st-Corinthians 11:13Judge ye in yourselves: is it seemly that a woman pray unto God unveiled? Be judges yourselves of the question: does it seem right for a woman to take part in prayer unveiled?Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? You yourselves judge: doth it become a woman, to pray unto God uncovered?
1st-Corinthians 11:14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him? Does it not seem natural to you that if a man has long hair, it is a cause of shame to him?Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?Doth not even nature itself teach you, that a man indeed, if he nourish his hair, it is a shame unto him?
1st-Corinthians 11:15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given to her for a covering. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if a woman nourish her hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering.
1st-Corinthians 11:16But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. But if any man will not be ruled in this question, this is not our way of doing things, and it is not done in the churches of God.But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor the church of God.
1st-Corinthians 11:17But in giving you this charge, I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better but for the worse. But in giving you this order, there is one thing about which I am not pleased: it is that when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse. Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. Now this I ordain: not praising you, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
1st-Corinthians 11:18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it. For first of all, it has come to my ears that when you come together in the church, there are divisions among you, and I take the statement to be true in part. For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.For first of all I hear that when you come together in the church, there are schisms among you; and in part I believe it.
1st-Corinthians 11:19For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you. For divisions are necessary among you, in order that those who have God's approval may be clearly seen among you.For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved, may be made manifest among you.
1st-Corinthians 11:20When therefore ye assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord's supper: But now, when you come together, it is not possible to take the holy meal of the Lord:When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord's supper.
1st-Corinthians 11:21for in your eating each one taketh before [other] his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken. For when you take your food, everyone takes his meal before the other; and one has not enough food, and another is the worse for drink. For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
1st-Corinthians 11:22What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you? In this I praise you not. What? have you not houses to take your meals in? or have you no respect for the church of God, putting the poor to shame? What am I to say to you? am I to give you praise? certainly not. What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. What, have you not houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the church of God; and put them to shame that have not ? What shall I say to you? Do I praise you? In this I praise you not.
1st-Corinthians 11:23For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread; For it was handed down to me from the Lord, as I gave it to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night when Judas was false to him, took bread,For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread.
1st-Corinthians 11:24and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me. And when it had been broken with an act of praise, he said, This is my body which is for you: do this in memory of me.And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me.
1st-Corinthians 11:25In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me. In the same way, with the cup, after the meal, he said, This cup is the new testament in my blood: do this, whenever you take it, in memory of me.After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me.
1st-Corinthians 11:26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord's death till he come. For whenever you take the bread and the cup you give witness to the Lord's death till he comes. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come.
1st-Corinthians 11:27Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. If, then, anyone takes the bread or the cup of the Lord in the wrong spirit, he will be responsible for the body and blood of the Lord.Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord.
1st-Corinthians 11:28But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. But let no man take of the bread and the cup without testing himself. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice.
1st-Corinthians 11:29For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body. For a man puts himself in danger, if he takes part in the holy meal without being conscious that it is the Lord's body. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.
1st-Corinthians 11:30For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep. For this cause a number of you are feeble and ill, and a number are dead. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. Therefore are there many inform and weak among you, and many sleep.
1st-Corinthians 11:31But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged. But if we were true judges of ourselves, punishment would not come on us.For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1st-Corinthians 11:32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. But if punishment does come, it is sent by the Lord, so that we may be safe when the world is judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. But whilst we are judged, we are chastised by the Lord, that we be not condemned with this world.
1st-Corinthians 11:33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait one for another. So then, my brothers, when you come together to the holy meal of the Lord, let there be waiting for one another.Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.Wherefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
1st-Corinthians 11:34If any man is hungry, let him eat at home; that your coming together be not unto judgment. And the rest will I set in order whensoever I come. If any man is in need of food, let him take his meal in his house; so that you may not come together to your damage. And the rest I will put in order when I come. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.If any man be hungry, let him eat at home; that you come not together unto judgment. And the rest I will set in order, when I come.
