2nd-Thessalonians 2:1Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him; Now as to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our meeting with him, it is our desire, my brothers,Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering to him.And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:2to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand; That you may not be moved in mind or troubled by a spirit, or by a word, or by a letter as from us, with the suggestion that the day of the Lord is even now come; That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:3let no man beguile you in any wise: for [it will not be,] except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Give no belief to false words: because there will first be a falling away from the faith, and the revelation of the man of sin, the son of destruction,Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:4he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God. Who puts himself against all authority, lifting himself up over all which is named God or is given worship; so that he takes his seat in the Temple of God, putting himself forward as God.Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? Have you no memory of what I said when I was with you, giving you word of these things?Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2nd-Thessalonians 2:6And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season. And now it is clear to you what is keeping back his revelation till the time comes for him to be seen. And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:7For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only [there is] one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way. For the secret of evil is even now at work: but there is one who is keeping back the evil till he is taken out of the way.For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now restraineth will restrain, until he be taken out of the way.For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:8And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming; And then will come the revelation of that evil one, whom the Lord Jesus will put to death with the breath of his mouth, and give to destruction by the revelation of his coming; And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming:And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:9[even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Even the one whose coming is marked by the working of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:10and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And with every deceit of wrongdoing among those whose fate is destruction; because they were quite without that love of the true faith by which they might have salvation. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:11And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: And for this cause, God will give them up to the power of deceit and they will put their faith in what is false:And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:12that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. So that they all may be judged, who had no faith in what is true, but took pleasure in evil. That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:13But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: But it is right for us to give praise to God at all times for you, brothers, loved by the Lord, because it was the purpose of God from the first that you might have salvation, being made holy by the Spirit and by faith in what is true:But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth:Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:14whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. And in this purpose he gave you a part through the good news of which we were the preachers, even that you might have part in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:15So then, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye were taught, whether by word, or by epistle of ours. So then, brothers, be strong in purpose, and keep the teaching which has been given to you by word or by letter from us.Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hathloved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who had love for us and has given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,Exhort your hearts, and confirm you in every good work and word.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:17comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. Give you comfort and strength in every good work and word.Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
