| Psalms 30:1 | I will extol thee, O Jehovah; for thou hast raised me up, And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. | <A Psalm. A Song at the blessing of the House. Of David.> I will give you praise and honour, O Lord, because through you I have been lifted up; you have not given my haters cause to be glad over me. | | Unto the end, a psalm for David, in an ecstasy. |
| Psalms 30:2 | O Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. | O Lord my God, I sent up my cry to you, and you have made me well. | | In thee, O Lord, have I hoped, Iet me never be confounded: deliver me in thy justice. |
| Psalms 30:3 | O Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. | O Lord, you have made my soul come again from the underworld: you have given me life and kept me from going down among the dead. | | Bow down thy ear to me: make haste to deliver me. Be thou unto me a God, a protector, and a house of refuge, to save me. |
| Psalms 30:4 | Sing praise unto Jehovah, O ye saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial [name]. | Make songs to the Lord, O you saints of his, and give praise to his holy name. | | For thou art my strength and my refuge; and for thy name's sake thou wilt lead me, and nourish me. |
| Psalms 30:5 | For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy [cometh] in the morning. | For his wrath is only for a minute; in his grace there is life; weeping may be for a night, but joy comes in the morning. | | Thou wilt bring me out of this snare, which they have hidden for me: for thou art my protector. |
| Psalms 30:6 | As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved. | When things went well for me I said, I will never be moved. | | Into thy hands I commend my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord, the God of truth. |
| Psalms 30:7 | Thou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled. | Lord, by your grace you have kept my mountain strong: when your face was turned from me I was troubled. | | Thou hast hated them that regard vanities, to no purpose. But I have hoped in the Lord: |
| Psalms 30:8 | I cried to thee, O Jehovah; And unto Jehovah I made supplication: | My voice went up to you, O Lord; I made my prayer to the Lord. | | I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy. For thou best regarded my humility, thou hast saved my soul out of distresses. |
| Psalms 30:9 | What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? | What profit is there in my blood if I go down into the underworld? will the dust give you praise, or be a witness to your help? | | And thou hast not shut me up in the hands of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a spacious place. |
| Psalms 30:10 | Hear, O Jehovah, and have mercy upon me: Jehovah, be thou my helper. | Give ear to me, O Lord, and have mercy on me: Lord, be my helper. | | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am afflicted: my eye is troubled with wrath, my soul, and my belly: |
| Psalms 30:11 | Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; | By you my sorrow is turned into dancing; you have taken away my clothing of grief, and given me robes of joy; | | For my life is wasted with grief: and my years in sighs. My strength is weakened through poverty and my bones are disturbed. |
| Psalms 30:12 | To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. Psalm 31 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. | So that my glory may make songs of praise to you and not be quiet. O Lord my God, I will give you praise for ever. | | I am become a reproach among all my enemies, and very much to my neighbours; and a fear to my acquaintance. They that saw me without fled from me. |
