How great things he commanded our fathers, that they should make the same known to their children: |
| Psalms 77:6 | I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart; And my spirit maketh diligent search. | The memory of my song comes back to me in the night; my thoughts are moving in my heart; my spirit is searching with care. | | that another generation might know them. The children that should be born and should rise up, and declare them to their children. |
| Psalms 77:7 | Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be favorable no more? | Will the Lord put me away for ever? will he be kind no longer? | | That they may put their hope in God and may not forget the works of God: and may seek his commandments. |

Doth his promise fail for evermore? | Is his mercy quite gone for ever? has his word come to nothing? | | That they may not become like their fathers, a perverse end exasperating generation. A generation that set not their heart aright: and whose spirit was not faithful to God. |
