| Job 29:1 | And Job again took up his parable, and said, | And Job again took up the word and said, | Job again took up his parable, and said, | And Job addeth to lift up his simile, and saith: |
| Job 29:2 | Oh that I were as in the months of old, As in the days when God watched over me; | If only I might again be as I was in the months which are past, in the days when God was watching over me! | "Oh that I were as in the months of old, As in the days when God watched over me; | Who doth make me as [in] months past, As [in] the days of God`s preserving me? |
| Job 29:3 | When his lamp shined upon my head, And by his light I walked through darkness; | When his light was shining over my head, and when I went through the dark by his light. | When his lamp shone on my head, And by his light I walked through darkness; | In His causing His lamp to shine on my head, By His light I walk [through] darkness. |
| Job 29:4 | As I was in the ripeness of my days, When the friendship of God was upon my tent; | As I was in my flowering years, when my tent was covered by the hand of God; | As I was in the ripeness of my days, When the friendship of God was in my tent; | As I have been in days of my maturity, And the counsel of God upon my tent. |

| Job 29:6 | When my steps were washed with butter, And the rock poured me out streams of oil! | When my steps were washed with milk, and rivers of oil were flowing out of the rock for me. | When my steps were washed with butter, And the rock poured out streams of oil for me! | When washing my goings with butter, And the firm rock [is] with me rivulets of oil. |

| Job 29:20 | My glory is fresh in me, And my bow is renewed in my hand. | My glory will be ever new, and my bow will be readily bent in my hand. | My glory is fresh in me, My bow is renewed in my hand.' | My honour [is] fresh with me, And my bow in my hand is renewed. |
| Job 29:21 | Unto me men gave ear, and waited, And kept silence for my counsel. | Men gave ear to me, waiting and keeping quiet for my suggestions. | "Men listened to me, waited, And kept silence for my counsel. | To me they have hearkened, Yea, they wait, and are silent for my counsel. |
| Job 29:22 | After my words they spake not again; And my speech distilled upon them. | After I had said what was in my mind, they were quiet and let my words go deep into their hearts; | After my words they didn't speak again; My speech fell on them. | After my word they change not, And on them doth my speech drop, |
