| Job 41:1 | Canst thou draw out leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord? | Is it possible for Leviathan to be pulled out with a fish-hook, or for a hook to be put through the bone of his mouth? | "Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord? | Dost thou draw leviathan with an angle? And with a rope thou lettest down his tongue? |
| Job 41:2 | Canst thou put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook? | Will you put a cord into his nose, or take him away with a cord round his tongue? | Can you put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook? | Dost thou put a reed in his nose? And with a thorn pierce his jaw? |
| Job 41:3 | Will he make many supplications unto thee? Or will he speak soft words unto thee? | Will he make prayers to you, or say soft words to you? | Will he make many petitions to you?
