Psalms 62:1My soul waiteth in silence for God only: From him [cometh] my salvation. <To the chief music-maker. After Jeduthun. A Psalm. Of David.> My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my salvation. My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him.To the Overseer, for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Only toward God [is] my soul silent, From Him [is] my salvation.
Psalms 62:2He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved. He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress I will never be greatly shaken.Only He [is] my rock, and my salvation, My tower, I am not much moved.
Psalms 62:3How long will ye set upon a man, That ye may slay [him], all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence? How long will you go on designing evil against a man? running against him as against a broken wall, which is on the point of falling? How long will you assault a man, Would all of you throw him down, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down.
Psalms 62:4They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah Their only thought is to put him down from his place of honour; their delight is in deceit: blessing is in their mouths but cursing in their hearts. (Selah.)They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.Only from his excellency They have consulted to drive away, They enjoy a lie, with their mouth they bless, And with their heart revile. Selah.
Psalms 62:5My soul, wait thou in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him. My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope.My soul, wait in silence for God alone, For my expectation is from him.Only for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him [is] my hope.
Psalms 62:6He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be moved. He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.Only He [is] my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved.
Psalms 62:7With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. In God is my salvation, and my glory; the Rock of my strength, and my safe place. With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.On God [is] my salvation, and my honour, The rock of my strength, my refuge [is] in God.
Psalms 62:8Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah Have faith in him at all times, you people; let your hearts go flowing out before him: God is our safe place. (Selah.)Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour forth before Him your heart, God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.
Psalms 62:9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity. Truly men of low birth are nothing, and men of high position are not what they seem; if they are put in the scales together they are less than a breath.Surely men of low degree are just a breath, And men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.Only vanity [are] the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity [are] lighter.
Psalms 62:10Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart [thereon]. Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.Don't trust in oppression. Don't become vain in robbery. If riches increase, Don't set your heart on them.Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth when it increaseth set not the heart.
Psalms 62:11God hath spoken once, Twice have I heard this, That power belongeth unto God. Once has God said, twice has it come to my ears, that power is God's:God has spoken once, Twice have I heard this, That power belongs to God.Once hath God spoken, twice I heard this, That `strength [is] with God.`
Psalms 62:12Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth lovingkindness; For thou renderest to every man according to his work. Psalm 63 A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. And mercy, O Lord, is yours, for you give to every man the reward of his work. Also to you, Lord, belongs lovingkindness, For you reward every man according to his work. Psalm 63 A Psalm by David, when he was in the desert of Judah. And with Thee, O Lord, [is] kindness, For Thou dost recompense to each, According to his work!
