| Job 10:1 | My soul is weary of my life; I will give free course to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. | My soul is tired of life; I will let my sad thoughts go free in words; my soul will make a bitter outcry. | My soul hath been weary of my life, I leave off my talking to myself, I speak in the bitterness of my soul. | My soul is weary of my life, I will let go my speech against myself, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. |
| Job 10:2 | I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me. | I will say to God, Do not put me down as a sinner; make clear to me what you have against me. | I say unto God, `Do not condemn me, Let me know why Thou dost strive [with] me. | I will say to God: Do not condemn me: tell me why thou judgest me so. |
| Job 10:3 | Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, And shine upon the counsel of the wicked? | What profit is it to you to be cruel, to give up the work of your hands, looking kindly on the design of evil-doers? | Is it good for Thee that Thou dost oppress? That Thou despisest the labour of Thy hands, And on the counsel of the wicked hast shone? | Doth it seem good to thee that thou shouldst calumniate me, and oppress me, the work of thy own hands, and help the counsel of the wicked? |
| Job 10:4 | Hast thou eyes of flesh? Or seest thou as man seeth? | Have you eyes of flesh, or do you see as man sees? | Eyes of flesh hast Thou? As man seeth seest Thou? | Hast thou eyes of flesh: or, shalt thou see as man seeth? |
| Job 10:5 | Are thy days as the days of man, Or thy years as man's days, | Are your days as the days of man, or your years like his, | As the days of man [are] Thy days? Thy years as the days of a man? | Are thy days as the days of man, and are thy years as the times of men: |
| Job 10:6 | That thou inquirest after mine iniquity, And searchest after my sin, | That you take note of my sin, searching after my wrongdoing, | That Thou inquirest for mine iniquity, And for my sin seekest? | That thou shouldst inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin? |
| Job 10:7 | Although thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is none that can deliver out of thy hand? | Though you see that I am not an evil-doer; and there is no one who is able to take a man out of your hands? | For Thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is no deliverer from Thy hand. | And shouldst know that I have done no wicked thing, whereas there is no man that can deliver out of thy hand. |
| Job 10:8 | Thy hands have framed me and fashioned me Together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. | Your hands made me, and I was formed by you, but then, changing your purpose, you gave me up to destruction. | Thy hands have taken pains about me, And they make me together round about, And Thou swallowest me up! | Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me wholly round about, and dost thou thus cast me down headlong on a sudden? |
| Job 10:9 | Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast fashioned me as clay; And wilt thou bring me into dust again? | O keep in mind that you made me out of earth; and will you send me back again to dust? | Remember, I pray Thee, That as clay Thou hast made me, And unto dust Thou dost bring me back. | Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay, and thou wilt bring me into dust again. |
| Job 10:10 | Hast thou not poured me out as milk, And curdled me like cheese? | Was I not drained out like milk, becoming hard like cheese? | Dost Thou not as milk pour me out? And as cheese curdle me? | Hast thou not milked me as milk, and curdled me like cheese? |
| Job 10:11 | Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews. | By you I was clothed with skin and flesh, and joined together with bones and muscles. | Skin and flesh Thou dost put on me, And with bones and sinews dost fence me. | Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh: thou hast put me together with bones and sinews: |
| Job 10:12 | Thou hast granted me life and lovingkindness; And thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. | You have been kind to me, and your grace has been with me, and your care has kept my spirit safe. | Life and kindness Thou hast done with me. And Thy inspection hath preserved my spirit. | Thou hast granted me life and mercy, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. |
| Job 10:13 | Yet these things thou didst hide in thy heart; I know that this is with thee: | But you kept these things in the secret of your heart; I am certain this was in your thoughts: | And these Thou hast laid up in Thy heart, I have known that this [is] with Thee. | Although thou conceal these things in thy heart, yet I know that thou rememberest all things. |
| Job 10:14 | If I sin, then thou markest me, And thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. | That, if I did wrong, you would take note of it, and would not make me clear from sin: | If I sinned, then Thou hast observed me, And from mine iniquity dost not acquit me, | If I have sinned and thou hast spared me for an hour: why dost thou not suffer me to be clean from my iniquity? |
| Job 10:15 | If I be wicked, woe unto me; And if I be righteous, yet shall I not lift up my head; Being filled with ignominy, And looking upon mine affliction. | That, if I was an evil-doer, the curse would come on me; and if I was upright, my head would not be lifted up, being full of shame and overcome with trouble. | If I have done wickedly wo to me, And righteously I lift not up my head, Full of shame then see my affliction, | And if I be wicked, woe unto me: and if just, I shall not lift up my head, being filled with affliction and misery. |
| Job 10:16 | And if [my head] exalt itself, thou huntest me as a lion; And again thou showest thyself marvellous upon me. | And that if there was cause for pride, you would go after me like a lion; and again put out your wonders against me: | And it riseth as a lion Thou huntest me. And Thou turnest back Thou shewest Thyself wonderful in me. | And for pride thou wilt take me as a lioness, and returning thou tormentest me wonderfully. |
| Job 10:17 | Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, And increasest thine indignation upon me: Changes and warfare are with me. | That you would send new witnesses against me, increasing your wrath against me, and letting loose new armies on me. | Thou renewest Thy witnesses against me, And dost multiply Thine anger with me, Changes and warfare [are] with me. | Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and multipliest thy wrath upon me, and pains war against me. |
| Job 10:18 | Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me. | Why then did you make me come out of my mother's body? It would have been better for me to have taken my last breath, and for no eye to have seen me, | And why from the womb Hast Thou brought me forth? I expire, and the eye doth not see me. | Why didst thou bring me forth out of the womb: O that I had been consumed that eye might not see me! |
| Job 10:19 | I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave. | And for me to have been as if I had not been; to have been taken from my mother's body straight to my last resting-place. | As I had not been, I am, From the belly to the grave I am brought, | I should have been as if I had not been, carried from the womb to the grave. |
| Job 10:20 | Are not my days few? cease then, And let me alone, that I may take comfort a little, | Are not the days of my life small in number? Let your eyes be turned away from me, so that I may have a little pleasure, | Are not my days few? Cease then, and put from me, And I brighten up a little, | Shall not the fewness of my days be ended shortly? suffer me, therefore, that I may lament my sorrow a little: |
| Job 10:21 | Before I go whence I shall not return, [Even] to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; | Before I go to the place from which I will not come back, to the land where all is dark and black, | Before I go, and return not, Unto a land of darkness and death-shade, | Before I go, and return no more, to a land that is dark and covered with the mist of death: |
| Job 10:22 | The land dark as midnight, [The land] of the shadow of death, without any order, And where the light is as midnight. | A land of thick dark, without order, where the very light is dark. | A land of obscurity as thick darkness, Death-shade and no order, And the shining [is] as thick darkness.` | A land of misery and darkness, where the shadow of death, and no order, but everlasting horror dwelleth. |
