Proverbs 9:3She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city: She has sent out her women-servants; her voice goes out to the highest places of the town, saying,She hath sent forth her damsels, She crieth on the tops of the high places of the city:She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
Proverbs 9:4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him, Whoever is simple, let him come in here; and to him who has no sense, she says:`Who [is] simple? let him turn aside hither.` Whoso lacketh heart: she hath said to him,Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
Proverbs 9:5Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled. Come, take of my bread, and of my wine which is mixed.`Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine I have mingled.Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
Proverbs 9:6Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding. Give up the simple ones and have life, and go in the way of knowledge.Forsake ye, the simple, and live, And be happy in the way of understanding.Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Proverbs 9:7He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man [getteth] himself a blot. He who gives teaching to a man of pride gets shame for himself; he who says sharp words to a sinner gets a bad name.The instructor of a scorner Is receiving for it shame, And a reprover of the wicked his blemish.He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
Proverbs 9:8Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee. Do not say sharp words to a man of pride, or he will have hate for you; make them clear to a wise man, and you will be dear to him.Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee, Give reproof to the wise, and he loveth thee.Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Proverbs 9:9Give [instruction] to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. Give teaching to a wise man, and he will become wiser; give training to an upright man, and his learning will be increased.Give to the wise, and he is wiser still, Make known to the righteous, And he increaseth learning.Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Proverbs 9:10The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. The fear of the Lord is the start of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One gives a wise mindThe commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of Jehovah, And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Proverbs 9:11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased. For by me your days will be increased, and the years of your life will be long.For by me do thy days multiply, And added to thee are years of life.For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
Proverbs 9:12If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if your heart is full of pride, you only will have the pain of it.If thou hast been wise, thou hast been wise for thyself, And thou hast scorned thyself bearest [it].If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Proverbs 9:13The foolish woman is clamorous; [She is] simple, and knoweth nothing. The foolish woman is full of noise; she has no sense at all.A foolish woman [is] noisy, Simple, and hath not known what.A foolish woman is clamourous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
Proverbs 9:14And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city, Seated at the door of her house, in the high places of the town,And she hath sat at the opening of her house, On a throne the high places of the city,For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
Proverbs 9:15To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways: Crying out to those who go by, going straight on their way, she says:To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight [on] their paths.To call passengers who go right on their ways:

Proverbs 9:18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol. But he does not see that the dead are there, that her guests are in the deep places of the underworld.And he hath not known that Rephaim [are] there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
