2nd-Timothy 4:1I charge [thee] in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: I give you orders, before God and Christ Jesus, who will be the judge of the living and the dead, and by his revelation and his kingdom;
2nd-Timothy 4:2preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. Be preaching the word at all times, in every place; make protests, say sharp words, give comfort, with long waiting and teaching;
2nd-Timothy 4:3For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; For the time will come when they will not take the true teaching; but, moved by their desires, they will get for themselves a great number of teachers for the pleasure of hearing them;
2nd-Timothy 4:4and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables. And shutting their ears to what is true, will be turned away to belief in foolish stories.
2nd-Timothy 4:5But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. But be self-controlled in all things, do without comfort, go on preaching the good news, completing the work which has been given you to do.
2nd-Timothy 4:6For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure is come. For I am even now being offered, and my end is near.
2nd-Timothy 4:7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: I have made a good fight, I have come to the end of my journey, I have kept the faith:
2nd-Timothy 4:8henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing. From now on, the crown of righteousness is made ready for me, which the Lord, the upright judge, Will give to me at that day: and not only to me, but to all those who have had love for his revelation.
2nd-Timothy 4:9Give diligence to come shortly unto me: Do your best to come to me before long:
2nd-Timothy 4:10for Demas forsook me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. For Demas has gone away from me, for love of this present life, and has gone to Thessalonica: Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
2nd-Timothy 4:11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is useful to me for ministering. Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and take him with you; for he is of use to me in the work.
2nd-Timothy 4:12But Tychicus I sent to Ephesus. Tychicus I sent to Ephesus.
2nd-Timothy 4:13The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, bring when thou comest, and the books, especially the parchments. The coat which I did not take from Troas and which is with Carpus, get when you come, and the books, specially the papers.
2nd-Timothy 4:14Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord will render to him according to his works: Alexander the copper-worker did me much wrong: the Lord will give him the reward of his works:
2nd-Timothy 4:15of whom do thou also beware; for he greatly withstood our words. But be on the watch for him, for he was violent in his attacks on our teaching.
2nd-Timothy 4:16At my first defence no one took my part, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their account. At my first meeting with my judges, no one took my part, but all went away from me. May it not be put to their account.
2nd-Timothy 4:17But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. But the Lord was by my side and gave me strength; so that through me the news might be given out in full measure, and all the Gentiles might give ear: and I was taken out of the mouth of the lion.
2nd-Timothy 4:18The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] the glory forever and ever. Amen. The Lord will keep me safe from every evil work and will give me salvation in his kingdom in heaven: to whom be glory for ever and ever. So be it.
2nd-Timothy 4:19Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the house of Onesiphorus. Give my love to Prisca and Aquila and those of the house of Onesiphorus.
2nd-Timothy 4:20Erastus remained at Corinth: but Trophimus I left at Miletus sick. Erastus was stopping at Corinth; but Trophimus, when I last saw him was at Miletus, ill.
2nd-Timothy 4:21Give diligence to come before winter. Eubulus saluteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren. Do your best to come before the winter. Eubulus sends you his love, and Pudens and Linus and Claudia, and all the brothers.
2nd-Timothy 4:22The Lord be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
