| Psalms 13:1 | How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me? | <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> Will you for ever put me out of your memory, O Lord? will your face for ever be turned away from me? |
| Psalms 13:2 | How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? | How long is my soul to be in doubt, with sorrow in my heart all the day? how long will he who is against me be given power over me? |
| Psalms 13:3 | Consider [and] answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death; | Let my voice come before you, and give me an answer, O Lord my God; let your light be shining on me, so that the sleep of death may not overtake me; |
| Psalms 13:4 | Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [Lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved. | And he who is against me may not say, I have overcome him; and those who are troubling me may not be glad when I am moved. |
| Psalms 13:5 | But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. | But I have had faith in your mercy; my heart will be glad in your salvation. |
