Psalms 75:1We give thanks unto thee, O God; We give thanks, for thy name is near: Men tell of thy wondrous works. {To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' A Psalm of Asaph: a Song.} Unto thee we give thanks, O God, we give thanks; and thy name is near: thy marvellous works declare it.Unto the end, in praises, a psalm for Asaph: a canticle to the Assyrians.To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. To thee, O God, do we give thanks, to thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near, thy wondrous works declare.
Psalms 75:2When I shall find the set time, I will judge uprightly. When I shall receive the assembly, I will judge with equity.In Judea God is known: his name is great in Israel.When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
Psalms 75:3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have set up the pillars of it. Selah The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have established its pillars. Selah.And his place is in peace: and his abode in Sion:The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
Psalms 75:4I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly; And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:There hath he broken the powers of bows, the shield, the sword, and the battie.I said to the fools, Deal not foolishly; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
Psalms 75:5Lift not up your horn on high; Speak not with a stiff neck. Lift not up your horn on high; speak not arrogantly with a [stiff] neck.Thou enlightenest wonderfully from the everlasting hills.Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
Psalms 75:6For neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor yet from the south, [cometh] lifting up. For not from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the south doth exaltation [come]:All the foolish of heart were troubled. They have slept their sleep; and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
Psalms 75:7But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and lifteth up another. For God is the judge; he putteth down one and exalteth another.At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they have all slumbered that mounted on horseback.But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Psalms 75:8For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and the wine foameth; It is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the same: Surely the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them, and drink them. For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and it foameth with wine, it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof shall all the wicked of the earth drain off, [and] drink.Thou art terrible, and who shall resist thee? from that time thy wrath.For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs of it all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
Psalms 75:9But I will declare for ever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. But as for me, I will declare for ever; I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob.Thou hast caused judgment to be heard from heaven: the earth trembled and was still,But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
Psalms 75:10All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; But the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. Psalm 76 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph, a song. And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.When God arose in judgment, to save all the meek of the earth.All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
