| Psalms 35:2 | Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help. | Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help; | | The unjust hath said within himself, that he would sin : there is no fear of God before his eyes. |
| Psalms 35:3 | Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that pursue me: Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. | And draw out the spear, and stop [the way] against my pursuers: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. | | For in his sight he hath done deceitfully, that his iniquity may be found unto hatred. |
| Psalms 35:4 | Let them be put to shame and brought to dishonor that seek after my soul: Let them be turned back and confounded that devise my hurt. | Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that devise my hurt: | | The words of his mouth are iniquity and guile : he would not understand that he might do well. |
| Psalms 35:5 | Let them be as chaff before the wind, And the angel of Jehovah driving [them] on. | Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of Jehovah drive [them] away; | | He hath devised iniquity on his bed, he hath set himself on every way that is not good : but evil he hath not hated. |
| Psalms 35:6 | Let their way be dark and slippery, And the angel of Jehovah pursuing them. | Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of Jehovah pursue them. | | O Lord, thy mercy is in heaven, and thy truth reacheth, even to the clouds. |
| Psalms 35:7 | For without cause have they hid for me their net [in] a pit; Without cause have they digged [a pit] for my soul. | For without cause have they hidden for me their net [in] a pit; without cause they have digged [it] for my soul. | | Thy justice is as the mountains of God, thy judgments are a great deep. Men and beasts thou wilt preserve, O Lord : |
| Psalms 35:8 | Let destruction come upon him unawares; And let his net that he hath hid catch himself: With destruction let him fall therein. | Let destruction come upon him unawares, and let his net which he hath hidden catch himself: for destruction let him fall therein. | | O how hast thou multiplied thy mercy, O God! But the children of men shall put their trust under the covert of thy wings. |
| Psalms 35:9 | And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah: It shall rejoice in his salvation. | And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in his salvation. | | They shall be inebriated with the plenty of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the torrent of thy pleasure. |
| Psalms 35:10 | All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, Who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him? | All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the afflicted from one stronger than he, yea, the afflicted and the needy from him that spoileth him! | | For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light. |
| Psalms 35:11 | Unrighteous witnesses rise up; They ask me of things that I know not. | Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they lay to my charge things which I know not. | | Extend thy mercy to them that know thee, and thy justice to them that are right in heart. |
| Psalms 35:12 | They reward me evil for good, [To] the bereaving of my soul. | They reward me evil for good, [to] the bereavement of my soul. | | Let not the foot of pride come to me, and let not the hand of the sinner move me. |
| Psalms 35:13 | But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into mine own bosom. | But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I chastened my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom: | | There the workers of iniquity are fallen, they are cast out, and could not stand. |
| Psalms 35:14 | I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother. | I behaved myself as though [he had been] a friend, a brother to me; I bowed down in sadness, as one that mourneth [for] a mother. | | |
| Psalms 35:15 | But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; They did tear me, and ceased not: | But at my halting they rejoiced, and gathered together: the slanderers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear [me], and ceased not: | | |
| Psalms 35:16 | Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth. | With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me. | | |

| Psalms 35:20 | For they speak not peace; But they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land. | For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land. | | |

| Psalms 35:27 | Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yea, let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, Who hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. | Let them exult and rejoice that delight in my righteousness; and let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, who delighteth in the prosperity of his servant. | | |
