Job 41:1Canst thou draw out leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord? Wilt thou draw out the leviathan with the hook, and press down his tongue with a cord?"Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?Is it possible for Leviathan to be pulled out with a fish-hook, or for a hook to be put through the bone of his mouth?
Job 41:2Canst thou put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook? Wilt thou put a rush-rope into his nose, and pierce his jaw with a spike?Can you put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook?Will you put a cord into his nose, or take him away with a cord round his tongue?
Job 41:3Will he make many supplications unto thee? Or will he speak soft words unto thee? Will he make many supplications unto thee? or will he speak softly unto thee?Will he make many petitions to you? Or will he speak soft words to you?Will he make prayers to you, or say soft words to you?
Job 41:4Will he make a covenant with thee, That thou shouldest take him for a servant for ever? Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him as a bondman for ever?Will he make a covenant with you, That you should take him for a servant forever?Will he make an agreement with you, so that you may take him as a servant for ever?
Job 41:5Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? Or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? Wilt thou play with him as with a bird, and wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your girls?Will you make sport with him, as with a bird? or put him in chains for your young women?
Job 41:6Will the bands [of fishermen] make traffic of him? Will they part him among the merchants? Shall partners make traffic of him, will they divide him among merchants?Will traders barter for him? Will they part him among the merchants?Will the fishermen make profit out of him? will they have him cut up for the traders?
Job 41:7Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons, Or his head with fish-spears? Wilt thou fill his skin with darts, and his head with fish-spears?Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, Or his head with fish-spears?Will you put sharp-pointed irons into his skin, or fish-spears into his head?
Job 41:8Lay thy hand upon him; Remember the battle, and do so no more. Lay thy hand upon him; remember the battle, do no more!Lay your hand on him. Remember the battle, and do so no more.Only put your hand on him, and see what a fight you will have; you will not do it again!
Job 41:9Behold, the hope of him is in vain: Will not one be cast down even at the sight of him? There is no one under heaven!

Job 41:13Who can strip off his outer garment? Who shall come within his jaws? Who can uncover the surface of his garment? who can come within his double jaws?Who can strip off his outer garment? Job 41:15[His] strong scales are [his] pride, Shut up together [as with] a close seal.
