Job 26:1Then Job answered and said, And Job answered and said,Then Job answered,Then Job answered, and said:
Job 26:2How hast thou helped him that is without power! How hast thou saved the arm that hath no strength! How hast thou helped the powerless; how saved the arm that is without strength!"How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!Whose helper art thou? is it of him that is weak? and dost thou hold up the arm of him that has no strength?
Job 26:3How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge! How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, and abundantly declared the thing as it is!How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge! To whom hast thou given counsel? perhaps to him that hath no wisdom, and thou hast shewn thy very great prudence.
Job 26:4To whom hast thou uttered words? And whose spirit came forth from thee? For whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?Whom hast thou desired to teach? was it not him that made life?
Job 26:5They that are deceased tremble Beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof. The shades tremble beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof;"Those who are deceased tremble, Those beneath the waters and all that live in them.Behold the giants groan under the waters, and they that dwell with them.
Job 26:6Sheol is naked before [God], And Abaddon hath no covering. Sheol is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.Sheol is naked before God, And Abaddon has no covering.Hell is naked before him, and there is no covering for destruction.
Job 26:7He stretcheth out the north over empty space, And hangeth the earth upon nothing. He stretcheth out the north over empty space, he hangeth the earth upon nothing; He stretches out the north over empty space, And hangs the earth on nothing. He stretched out the north over the empty space, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
Job 26:8He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; And the cloud is not rent under them. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them.He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, And the cloud is not burst under them.He bindeth up the waters in his clouds, so that they break not out and fall down together.
Job 26:9He incloseth the face of his throne, And spreadeth his cloud upon it. He covereth the face of his throne, he spreadeth his cloud upon it.He encloses the face of his throne, And spreads his cloud on it.He withholdeth the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud over it.
Job 26:10He hath described a boundary upon the face of the waters, Unto the confines of light and darkness. He hath traced a fixed circle over the waters, unto the confines of light and darkness. He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, And to the confines of light and darkness. He hath set bounds about the waters, till light and darkness come to an end.
Job 26:11The pillars of heaven tremble And are astonished at his rebuke. The pillars of the heavens tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. The pillars of heaven tremble And are astonished at his rebuke. The pillars of heaven tremble, and dread at his beck.
Job 26:12He stirreth up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab. He stirreth up the sea by his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab. He stirs up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.By his power the seas are suddenly gathered together, and his wisdom has struck the proud one.
Job 26:13By his Spirit the heavens are garnished; His hand hath pierced the swift serpent. By his Spirit the heavens are adorned; his hand hath formed the fleeing serpent.By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent. His spirit hath adorned the heavens, and his obstetric hand brought forth the winding serpent.
Job 26:14Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways: And how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand? Lo, these are the borders of his ways; but what a whisper of a word do we hear of him! And the thunder of his power, who can understand?Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?"Lo, these things are said in part of his ways: and seeing we have heard scarce a little drop of his word, who shall be able to behold the thunder of his greatness?
