| Psalms 81:1 | Sing aloud unto God our strength: Make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. | A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods. | <To the chief music-maker; put to the Gittith. Of Asaph.> Make a song to God our strength: make a glad cry to the God of Jacob. | To the Overseer. `On the Gittith.` By Asaph. Cry aloud to God our strength, Shout to the God of Jacob. |
| Psalms 81:2 | Raise a song, and bring hither the timbrel, The pleasant harp with the psaltery. | How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked? | Take up the melody, playing on an instrument of music, even on corded instruments. | Lift up a song, and give out a timbrel, A pleasant harp with psaltery. |
