| Psalms 74:1 | O God, why hast thou cast [us] off for ever? Why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? | Unto the end, corrupt not, a psalm of a canticle for Asaph. | Maschil of Asaph. O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thy anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? | God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture? |
| Psalms 74:2 | Remember thy congregation, which thou hast gotten of old, Which thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of thine inheritance; [And] mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. | We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name.
