Psalms 6:1O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thine anger, Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave.Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath.<To the chief music-maker on corded instruments, on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion.
Psalms 6:2Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; for I am withered away: O Jehovah, heal me; for my bones are troubled. O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath.Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled.
Psalms 6:3My soul also is sore troubled: And thou, O Jehovah, how long? Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh how long?My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long?
Psalms 6:4Return, O Jehovah, deliver my soul: Save me for thy lovingkindness' sake. And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, And save me for your lovingkindness' sake.Come back, O Lord, make my soul free; O give me salvation because of your mercy.
Psalms 6:5For in death there is no remembrance of thee: In Sheol who shall give thee thanks? Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake. For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? For in death there is no memory of you; in the underworld who will give you praise?
Psalms 6:6I am weary with my groaning; Every night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell?I am weary with my groaning; Every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears. The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes.
Psalms 6:7Mine eye wasteth away because of grief; It waxeth old because of all mine adversaries. I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my adversaries. My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me.
Psalms 6:8Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; For Jehovah hath heard the voice of my weeping. My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, For Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.Go from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has given ear to the voice of my weeping.
Psalms 6:9Jehovah hath heard my supplication; Jehovah will receive my prayer. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh will receive my prayer. The Lord has given ear to my request; the Lord has let my prayer come before him.
Psalms 6:10All mine enemies shall be put to shame and sore troubled: They shall turn back, they shall be put to shame suddenly. Psalm 7 Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto Jehova, concerning the words of Cush a Benjamite. The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly. Psalm 7 A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame.
