| Psalms 71:1 | In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame. | A psalm on Solomon. | In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Never let me be put to shame. | In you, O Lord, have I put my hope; let me never be shamed. |
| Psalms 71:2 | Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me. | Give to the king thy judgment, O God: and to the king's son thy justice: To judge thy people with justice, and thy poor with judgment. | Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me. Turn your ear to me, and save me. | Keep me safe in your righteousness, and come to my help; give ear to my voice, and be my saviour. |
| Psalms 71:3 | Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress. | Let the mountains receive peace for the people: and the hills justice. | Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. You are he who took me out of my mother's womb. I will always praise you. | You have been my support from the day of my birth; you took me out of my mother's body; my praise will be ever of you. |

Those who watch for my soul conspire together, | For my haters are waiting secretly for me; and those who are watching for my soul are banded together in their evil designs, |
| Psalms 71:11 | Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver. | And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him. | Saying, "God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him." | Saying, God has given him up; go after him and take him, for he has no helper. |

| Psalms 71:13 | Let them be put to shame [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt. | He shall spare the poor and needy: and he shall save the souls of the poor. | Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed. Let them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me. | Let those who say evil against my soul be overcome and put to shame; let my haters be made low and have no honour. |
| Psalms 71:14 | But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more. | He shall redeem their souls from usuries and iniquity: and their names shall be honourable in his sight. | But I will always hope, And will add to all of your praise. | But I will go on ever hoping, and increasing in all your praise. |
| Psalms 71:15 | My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, [And] of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers [thereof]. | And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Arabia, for him they shall always adore: they shall bless him all the day. | My mouth will tell about your righteousness, And of your salvation all day, Though I don't know its full measure. | My mouth will make clear your righteousness and your salvation all the day; for they are more than may be measured. |
| Psalms 71:16 | I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. | And there shall be a firmament on the earth on the tops of mountains, above Libanus shall the fruit thereof be exalted : and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth. | I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Yahweh. I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours alone. | I will give news of the great acts of the Lord God; my words will be of your righteousness, and of yours only. |

And in him shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed: all nations shall magnify him. | God, you have taught me from my youth. Until now, I have declared your wondrous works. | O God, you have been my teacher from the time when I was young; and I have been talking of your works of wonder even till now. |

| Psalms 71:20 | Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth. | The praises of David, the son of Jesse, are ended. | You, who have showed us many and bitter troubles, You will let me live. You will bring us up again from the depths of the earth. | You, who have sent great and bitter troubles on me, will give me life again, lifting me up from the deep waters of the underworld. |
