Proverbs 9:1Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars: Wisdom hath built herself a house, she hath hewn her out seven pillars.Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.Wisdom hath built her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars;
Proverbs 9:2She hath killed her beasts; She hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table: She hath slain her victims, mingled her wine, and set forth her table.She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.she hath slaughtered her cattle, she hath mingled her wine, she hath also prepared her table;
Proverbs 9:3She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city: She hath sent her maids to invite to the tower, and to the walls of the city:She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:she hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the summits of the high places of the city,
Proverbs 9:4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him, Whosoever is a little one, let him come to me. And to the unwise she said:"Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither. To him that is void of understanding, she saith,
Proverbs 9:5Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled. Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine which I have mingled for you."Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!Come, eat ye of my bread, and drink of the wine that I have mingled.
Proverbs 9:6Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding. Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding."Forsake follies and live, and go in the way of intelligence.
Proverbs 9:7He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man [getteth] himself a blot. He that teacheth a scorner, doth an injury to himself: and he that rebuketh a wicked man, getteth himself a blot.He who corrects a mocker invites insult. He who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.He that instructeth a scorner getteth to himself shame; and he that reproveth a wicked [man] [getteth] to himself a blot.
Proverbs 9:8Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee. Rebuke not a scorner lest he hate thee. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.Don't reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee; reprove a wise [man], and he will love thee.
Proverbs 9:9Give [instruction] to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. Give an occasion to a wise man, and wisdom shall be added to him. Teach a just man, and he shall make haste to receive it.Instruct a wise man, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.Impart to a wise [man], and he will become yet wiser; teach a righteous [man], and he will increase learning.
Proverbs 9:10The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is intelligence.
Proverbs 9:11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased. For by me shall thy days be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.
Proverbs 9:12If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it. If thou be wise, thou shalt be so to thyself: and if a scorner, thou alone shalt bear the evil.If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.If thou art wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself; and if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Proverbs 9:13The foolish woman is clamorous; [She is] simple, and knoweth nothing. A foolish woman and clamorous, and full of allurements, and knowing nothing at all,The foolish woman is loud, Undisciplined, and knows nothing.The foolish woman is clamorous; she is stupid, and knoweth nothing.

Proverbs 9:16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither; And as for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him, He that is a little one, let him turn to me. Proverbs 9:17Stolen waters are sweet, And bread [eaten] in secret is pleasant. Stolen waters are sweeter, and hid den bread is more pleasant."Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant."Stolen waters are sweet, and the bread of secrecy is pleasant.
Proverbs 9:18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol. And he did not know that giants are there, and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
