Psalms 88:2Let my prayer enter into thy presence; Incline thine ear unto my cry. The mercies of the Lord I will sing for ever. Psalms 88:3For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draweth nigh unto Sheol. For thou hast said: Mercy shall be built up for ever in the heavens: thy truth shall be prepared in them.For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol.For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
Psalms 88:4I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help, I have made a covenant with my elect: I have sworn to David my servant:I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:
Psalms 88:5Cast off among the dead, Like the slain that lie in the grave, Whom thou rememberest no more, And they are cut off from thy hand. Thy seed will I settle for ever. Psalms 88:8Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. God, who is glorified in the assembly of the saints: great and terrible above all them that are about him.You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. Psalms 88:9Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O Jehovah; I have spread forth my hands unto thee. O Lord God of hosts, who is like to thee? thou art mighty, O Lord, and thy truth is round about thee.My eyes are dim from grief. I have called on you daily, Yahweh. I have spread out my hands to you.Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
