| Proverbs 29:1 | He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. | The man that with a stiff neck despiseth him that reproveth him, shall suddenly be destroyed: and health shall not follow him. |
| Proverbs 29:2 | When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man beareth rule, the people sigh. | When just men increase, the people shall rejoice: when the wicked shall bear rule, the people shall mourn. |
| Proverbs 29:3 | Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father; But he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth [his] substance. | A man that loveth wisdom, rejoiceth his father: but he that maintaineth bar lots, shall squander away his substance. |
| Proverbs 29:4 | The king by justice establisheth the land; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it. | A just king setteth up the land: a covetous man shall destroy it. |
| Proverbs 29:5 | A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his steps. | A man that speaketh to his friend with flattering and dissembling words, spreadeth a net for his feet. |
| Proverbs 29:6 | In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare; But the righteous doth sing and rejoice. | A snare shall entangle the wicked man when he sinneth: and the just shall praise and rejoice. |
| Proverbs 29:7 | The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; The wicked hath not understanding to know [it]. | The just taketh notice of the cause of the poor: the wicked is void of knowledge. |
| Proverbs 29:8 | Scoffers set a city in a flame; But wise men turn away wrath. | Corrupt men bring a city to ruin: but wise men turn away wrath. |
| Proverbs 29:9 | If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man, Whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest. | If a wise man contend with a fool, whether he be angry or laugh, he shall find no rest. |
| Proverbs 29:10 | The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect; And as for the upright, they seek his life. | Bloodthirsty men hate the upright: but just men seek his soul. |
| Proverbs 29:11 | A fool uttereth all his anger; But a wise man keepeth it back and stilleth it. | A fool uttereth all his mind: a wise man deferreth, and keepeth it till afterwards. |

| Proverbs 29:13 | The poor man and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both. | The poor man and the creditor have met one another: the Lord is the enlightener of them both. |
| Proverbs 29:14 | The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, His throne shall be established for ever. | The king that judgeth the poor in truth, his throne shall be established for ever. |
| Proverbs 29:15 | The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother. | The rod and reproof give wisdom: but the child that is left to his own will bringeth his mother to shame. |
| Proverbs 29:16 | When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth; But the righteous shall look upon their fall. | When the wicked are multiplied, crimes shall be multiplied: but the just shall see their downfall. |
| Proverbs 29:17 | Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest; Yea, he will give delight unto thy soul. | Instruct thy son, and he shall refresh thee, and shall give delight to thy soul. |
| Proverbs 29:18 | Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he. | When prophecy shall fail, the people shall be scattered abroad: but he that keepeth the law is blessed. |
| Proverbs 29:19 | A servant will not be corrected by words; For though he understand, he will not give heed. | A slave will not be corrected by words: because he understandeth what thou sayest, and will not answer. |
| Proverbs 29:20 | Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? There is more hope of a fool than of him. | Hast thou seen a man hasty to speak? folly is rather to be looked for, than his amendment. |
| Proverbs 29:21 | He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child Shall have him become a son at the last. | He that nourisheth his servant delicately from his childhood, afterwards shall find him stubborn. |
| Proverbs 29:22 | An angry man stirreth up strife, And a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression. | A passionate man provoketh quarrels: and he that is easily stirred up to wrath, shall be more prone to sin. |
| Proverbs 29:23 | A man's pride shall bring him low; But he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor. | Humiliation followeth the proud: and glory shall uphold the humble of spirit. |
| Proverbs 29:24 | Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul; He heareth the adjuration and uttereth nothing. | He that is partaker with a thief, hateth his own soul: he heareth one putting him to his oath, and discovereth not. |
| Proverbs 29:25 | The fear of man bringeth a snare; But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be safe. | He that feareth man, shall quickly fall: he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be set on high. |
| Proverbs 29:26 | Many seek the ruler's favor; But a man's judgment [cometh] from Jehovah. | Many seek the face of the prince: but the judgment of every one cometh forth from the Lord. |
| Proverbs 29:27 | An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous; And he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked. | The just abhor the wicked man: and the wicked loathe them that are in the right way. The son that keepeth the word, shall be free from destruction. |
