Job 10:1My soul is weary of my life; I will give free course to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.My soul is tired of life; I will let my sad thoughts go free in words; my soul will make a bitter outcry. My soul is weary of my life, I will let go my speech against myself, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
Job 10:2I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me. I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.I will say to God, Do not put me down as a sinner; make clear to me what you have against me.I will say to God: Do not condemn me: tell me why thou judgest me so.
Job 10:3Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, And shine upon the counsel of the wicked? Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked? What profit is it to you to be cruel, to give up the work of your hands, looking kindly on the design of evil-doers?Doth it seem good to thee that thou shouldst calumniate me, and oppress me, the work of thy own hands, and help the counsel of the wicked?
Job 10:4Hast thou eyes of flesh? Or seest thou as man seeth? Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?Have you eyes of flesh, or do you see as man sees?Hast thou eyes of flesh: or, shalt thou see as man seeth?
Job 10:5Are thy days as the days of man, Or thy years as man's days, Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days,Are your days as the days of man, or your years like his,Are thy days as the days of man, and are thy years as the times of men:
Job 10:6That thou inquirest after mine iniquity, And searchest after my sin, That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin? That you take note of my sin, searching after my wrongdoing,That thou shouldst inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin?
Job 10:7Although thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is none that can deliver out of thy hand? Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.Though you see that I am not an evil-doer; and there is no one who is able to take a man out of your hands? And shouldst know that I have done no wicked thing, whereas there is no man that can deliver out of thy hand.
Job 10:8Thy hands have framed me and fashioned me Together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.Your hands made me, and I was formed by you, but then, changing your purpose, you gave me up to destruction.Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me wholly round about, and dost thou thus cast me down headlong on a sudden?
Job 10:9Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast fashioned me as clay; And wilt thou bring me into dust again? Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?O keep in mind that you made me out of earth; and will you send me back again to dust?Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay, and thou wilt bring me into dust again.
Job 10:10Hast thou not poured me out as milk, And curdled me like cheese? Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Was I not drained out like milk, becoming hard like cheese?Hast thou not milked me as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
Job 10:11Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews. Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.By you I was clothed with skin and flesh, and joined together with bones and muscles.Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh: thou hast put me together with bones and sinews:
Job 10:12Thou hast granted me life and lovingkindness; And thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. You have been kind to me, and your grace has been with me, and your care has kept my spirit safe.Thou hast granted me life and mercy, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
Job 10:13Yet these things thou didst hide in thy heart; I know that this is with thee: And these things hast thou hid in thine heart: I know that this is with thee. But you kept these things in the secret of your heart; I am certain this was in your thoughts:Although thou conceal these things in thy heart, yet I know that thou rememberest all things.
Job 10:14If I sin, then thou markest me, And thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. That, if I did wrong, you would take note of it, and would not make me clear from sin:If I have sinned and thou hast spared me for an hour: why dost thou not suffer me to be clean from my iniquity?
Job 10:15If I be wicked, woe unto me; And if I be righteous, yet shall I not lift up my head; Being filled with ignominy, And looking upon mine affliction. If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction; That, if I was an evil-doer, the curse would come on me; and if I was upright, my head would not be lifted up, being full of shame and overcome with trouble. And if I be wicked, woe unto me: and if just, I shall not lift up my head, being filled with affliction and misery.
Job 10:16And if [my head] exalt itself, thou huntest me as a lion; And again thou showest thyself marvellous upon me. For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.And that if there was cause for pride, you would go after me like a lion; and again put out your wonders against me:And for pride thou wilt take me as a lioness, and returning thou tormentest me wonderfully.
Job 10:17Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, And increasest thine indignation upon me: Changes and warfare are with me. Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thine indignation upon me; changes and war are against me. That you would send new witnesses against me, increasing your wrath against me, and letting loose new armies on me.Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and multipliest thy wrath upon me, and pains war against me.
Job 10:18Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me. Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!Why then did you make me come out of my mother's body? It would have been better for me to have taken my last breath, and for no eye to have seen me,Why didst thou bring me forth out of the womb: O that I had been consumed that eye might not see me!
Job 10:19I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave. I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave. And for me to have been as if I had not been; to have been taken from my mother's body straight to my last resting-place.I should have been as if I had not been, carried from the womb to the grave.
Job 10:20Are not my days few? cease then, And let me alone, that I may take comfort a little, Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little, Are not the days of my life small in number? Let your eyes be turned away from me, so that I may have a little pleasure,Shall not the fewness of my days be ended shortly? suffer me, therefore, that I may lament my sorrow a little:
Job 10:21Before I go whence I shall not return, [Even] to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death; Before I go to the place from which I will not come back, to the land where all is dark and black,Before I go, and return no more, to a land that is dark and covered with the mist of death:
Job 10:22The land dark as midnight, [The land] of the shadow of death, without any order, And where the light is as midnight. A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.A land of thick dark, without order, where the very light is dark.A land of misery and darkness, where the shadow of death, and no order, but everlasting horror dwelleth.
