Psalms 81:1Sing aloud unto God our strength: Make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.{To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. [A Psalm] of Asaph.} Sing ye joyously unto God our strength, shout aloud unto the God of Jacob;
Psalms 81:2Raise a song, and bring hither the timbrel, The pleasant harp with the psaltery. Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.Raise a song, and sound the tambour, the pleasant harp with the lute.
Psalms 81:3Blow the trumpet at the new moon, At the full moon, on our feast-day. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the set time, on our feast day:
Psalms 81:4For it is a statute for Israel, An ordinance of the God of Jacob. For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob;
Psalms 81:5He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony, When he went out over the land of Egypt, [Where] I heard a language that I knew not. Psalms 81:10I am Jehovah thy God, Who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
