Psalms 14:1The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have done abominable works. There is none who does good.
Psalms 14:2Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, To see if there were any who did understand, Who did seek after God.
Psalms 14:3They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours.They have all gone aside; they have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one.
Psalms 14:4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah? Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And don't call on Yahweh?
Psalms 14:5There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous. There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.he that hath not put out his money to usury, nor taken bribes against the innocent: He that doth these things shall not be moved for ever.There were they in great fear, For God is in the generation of the righteous.
Psalms 14:6Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge. Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.You put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Yahweh is his refuge.
Psalms 14:7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad. Psalm 15 A Psalm of David. Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, Then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. Psalm 15 A Psalm by David.
