| Psalms 27:1 | Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? | The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? | A psalm for David himself. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: O my God, be not thou silent to me: lest thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. | Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? |
| Psalms 27:2 | When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, [Even] mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. | When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. | Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple. | When evil-doers came at me to eat up my flesh, Even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. |
| Psalms 27:3 | Though a host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then will I be confident. | Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. | Draw me not away together with the wicked; and with the workers of iniquity destroy me not: Who speak peace with their neighbour, but evils are in their hearts. | Though a host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, Even then I will be confident. |
| Psalms 27:4 | One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple. | One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. | Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward. | One thing have I asked of Yahweh, that will I seek after, That I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, To see the beauty of Yahweh, And to inquire in his temple. |
| Psalms 27:5 | For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion: In the covert of his tabernacle will he hide me; He will lift me up upon a rock. | For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. | Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up. | For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tent will he hide me. He will lift me up on a rock. |
| Psalms 27:6 | And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me. And I will offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto Jehovah. | And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. | Blessed be the Lord, for he hath heard the voice of my supplication. | Now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh. |
| Psalms 27:7 | Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice: Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. | Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. | The Lord is my helper and my protector: in him hath my heart confided, and I have been helped. And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give praise to him. | Hear, Yahweh, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me. |
| Psalms 27:8 | [When thou saidst], Seek ye my face; My heart said unto thee, Thy face, Jehovah, will I seek. | When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. | The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed. | When you said, "Seek my face," My heart said to you, "I will seek your face, Yahweh." |
| Psalms 27:9 | Hide not thy face from me; Put not thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. | Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. | Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: and rule them and exalt them for ever. | Don't hide your face from me. Don't put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don't abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation. |
| Psalms 27:10 | When my father and my mother forsake me, Then Jehovah will take me up. | When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. | | When my father and my mother forsake me, Then Yahweh will take me up. |
| Psalms 27:11 | Teach me thy way, O Jehovah; And lead me in a plain path, Because of mine enemies. | Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. | | Teach me your way, Yahweh. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies. |
| Psalms 27:12 | Deliver me not over unto the will of mine adversaries: For false witnesses are risen up against me, And such as breathe out cruelty. | Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. | | Don't deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, For false witnesses have risen up against me, Such as breathe out cruelty. |
| Psalms 27:13 | [I had fainted], unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah In the land of the living. | I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. | | I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. |
| Psalms 27:14 | Wait for Jehovah: Be strong, and let thy heart take courage; Yea, wait thou for Jehovah. Psalm 28 [A Psalm] of David. | Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. | | Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 28 By David. |
