He will save the children of the needy, And will break the oppressor in pieces.
Psalms 72:5They shall fear thee while the sun endureth, And so long as the moon, throughout all generations. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. They are not in the labour of men: neither shall they be scourged like other men. B Therefore pride hath held them fast: they are covered with their iniquity and their wickedness. They shall fear you while the sun endures; And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
Psalms 72:6He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, As showers that water the earth. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.Their iniquity hath come forth, as it were from fatness: they have passed into the affection of the heart. He will come down like rain on the mown grass, As showers that water the earth.
Psalms 72:7In his days shall the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace, till the moon be no more. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. They have thought and spoken wickedness: they have spoken iniquity on high.In his days, the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
Psalms 72:8He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River unto the ends of the earth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.Until I go into the sanctuary of God, and understand concerning their last ends. There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
