Job 13:1Lo, mine eye hath seen all [this], Mine ear hath heard and understood it. Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it."Behold, my eye has seen all this, My ear has heard and understood it.Behold my eye hath seen all these things, and my ear hath heard them, and I have understood them all.
Job 13:2What ye know, [the same] do I know also: I am not inferior unto you. What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.According to your knowledge I also know: neither am I inferior to you.
Job 13:3Surely I would speak to the Almighty, And I desire to reason with God. Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God."Surely I would speak to the Almighty. I desire to reason with God.But yet I will speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
Job 13:4But ye are forgers of lies; Ye are all physicians of no value. But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.But you are forgers of lies. You are all physicians of no value.Having first shewn that you are forgers of lies, and maintainers of perverse opinions.
Job 13:5Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace! And it would be your wisdom. O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.Oh that you would be completely silent! Then you would be wise.And I wish you would hold your peace, that you might be thought to be wise men..
Job 13:6Hear now my reasoning, And hearken to the pleadings of my lips. Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.Hear now my reasoning. Listen to the pleadings of my lips.Hear ye therefore my reproof, and attend to the judgment of my lips.
Job 13:7Will ye speak unrighteously for God, And talk deceitfully for him? Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him? Will you speak unrighteously for God, And talk deceitfully for him?Hath God any need of your lie, that you should speak deceitfully for him?
Job 13:8Will ye show partiality to him? Will ye contend for God? Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?Do you accept his person, and do you endeavour to judge for God?
Job 13:9Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceiveth a man, will ye deceive him? Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him? Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceives a man, will you deceive him?Or shall it please him, from whom nothing can be concealed ? or shall he be deceived as a man, with your deceitful dealings ?
Job 13:10He will surely reprove you If ye do secretly show partiality. He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons. He will surely reprove you If you secretly show partiality.He shall reprove you, because in secret you accept his person.
Job 13:11Shall not his majesty make you afraid, And his dread fall upon you? Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?Shall not his majesty make you afraid, And his dread fall on you?As soon as he shall move himself, he shall trouble you: and his dread shall fall upon you.
Job 13:12Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, Your defences are defences of clay. Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, Your defenses are defenses of clay.Your remembrance shall be compared to ashes, and your necks shall be brought to clay.
Job 13:13Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak; And let come on me what will. Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will."Be silent, leave me alone, that I may speak. Let come on me what will.Hold your peace a little while, that I may speak whatsoever my mind shall suggest to me.
Job 13:14Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, And put my life in my hand? Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, And put my life in my hand?Why do I tear my flesh with my teeth, and carry my soul in my hands?
Job 13:15Behold, he will slay me; I have no hope: Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him. Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.Behold, he will kill me; I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.Although he should bill me, I will trust in him: but yet I will reprove my ways in his sight.
Job 13:16This also shall be my salvation, That a godless man shall not come before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.This also shall be my salvation, That a godless man shall not come before him.And he shall be my saviour: for no hypocrite shall come before his presence.
Job 13:17Hear diligently my speech, And let my declaration be in your ears. Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.Hear diligently my speech. Let my declaration be in your ears.Hear ye my speech, and receive with Sour ears hidden truths.
Job 13:18Behold now, I have set my cause in order; I know that I am righteous. Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.If I shall be judged, I know that I shall be found just.
Job 13:19Who is he that will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and give up the ghost. Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.Who is he who will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and give up the spirit.Who is he that will plead against me? let him come: why am I consumed holding my peace?
Job 13:20Only do not two things unto me; Then will I not hide myself from thy face: Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee."Only don't do two things to me; Then I will not hide myself from your face:Two things only do not to me, and then from thy face I shall not be hid:
Job 13:21Withdraw thy hand far from me; And let not thy terror make me afraid. Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.Withdraw your hand far from me; And don't let your terror make me afraid.Withdraw thy hand far from me, and let not thy dread terrify me.
Job 13:22Then call thou, and I will answer; Or let me speak, and answer thou me. Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.Then call, and I will answer; Or let me speak, and you answer me.Call me, and I will answer thee: or else I will speak, and do thou answer me.
Job 13:23How many are mine iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin. How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me know my disobedience and my sin.How many are my iniquities and sins? make me know my crimes and offences.
Job 13:24Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And holdest me for thine enemy? Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?Why hide you your face, And hold me for your enemy?Why hidest thou thy face, and thinkest me thy enemy?
Job 13:25Wilt thou harass a driven leaf? And wilt thou pursue the dry stubble? Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?Will you harass a driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?Against a leaf, that is carried away with the wind, thou shewest thy power, and thou pursuest a dry straw.
Job 13:26For thou writest bitter things against me, And makest me to inherit the iniquities of my youth: For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.For you write bitter things against me, And make me inherit the iniquities of my youth:For thou writest bitter things against me, and wilt consume me for the sins of my youth.
Job 13:27Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, And markest all my paths; Thou settest a bound to the soles of my feet: Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.You also put my feet in the stocks, And mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of my feet:Thou hast put my feet in the stocks, and hast observed all my paths, and hast considered the steps of my feet:
Job 13:28Though I am like a rotten thing that consumeth, Like a garment that is moth-eaten. And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.Though I am decaying like a rotten thing, Like a garment that is moth-eaten.Who am to be consumed as rottenness, and as a garment that is moth-eaten.
