Psalms 33:1Rejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright. Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.Be glad in the Lord, O doers of righteousness; for praise is beautiful for the upright.Sing, ye righteous, in Jehovah, For upright ones praise [is] comely.
Psalms 33:2Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp: Sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings. Praise the LORD with harp: sing to him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.Give praise to the Lord on the corded instrument; make melody to him with instruments of music.Give ye thanks to Jehovah with a harp, With psaltery of ten strings sing praise to Him,
Psalms 33:3Sing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.Make a new song to him; playing expertly with a loud noise.Sing ye to Him a new song, Play skilfully with shouting.
Psalms 33:4For the word of Jehovah is right; And all his work is [done] in faithfulness. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are certain.For upright [is] the word of Jehovah, And all His work [is] in faithfulness.
Psalms 33:5He loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.His delight is in righteousness and wisdom; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.Loving righteousness and judgment, Of the kindness of Jehovah is the earth full.
Psalms 33:6By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the army of heaven by the breath of his mouth.By the word of Jehovah The heavens have been made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
Psalms 33:7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: he layeth up the depth in store-houses.He makes the waters of the sea come together in a mass; he keeps the deep seas in store-houses.Gathering as a heap the waters of the sea, Putting in treasuries the depths.
Psalms 33:8Let all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.Let the earth be full of the fear of the Lord; let all the people of the world be in holy fear of him.Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.
Psalms 33:9For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.For he gave the word, and it was done; by his order it was fixed for ever.For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.
Psalms 33:10Jehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect. The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to naught: he maketh the devices of the people of no effect.The Lord undoes the designs of the nations; he makes the thoughts of the peoples without effect.Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.
Psalms 33:11The counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.The Lord's purpose is eternal, the designs of his heart go on through all the generations of man.The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.
Psalms 33:12Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has taken for his heritage.O the happiness of the nation whose God [is] Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.
Psalms 33:13Jehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men; The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.The Lord is looking down from heaven; he sees all the sons of men;From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.
Psalms 33:14From the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth, From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth;From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;
Psalms 33:15He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.He makes all their hearts; their works are clear to him.Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.
Psalms 33:16There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.A king's salvation is not in the power of his army; a strong man does not get free by his great strength.The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.
Psalms 33:17A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither doth he deliver any by his great power. A horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.A horse is a false hope; his great power will not make any man free from danger.A false thing [is] the horse for safety, And by the abundance of his strength He doth not deliver.
Psalms 33:18Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness; Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;See, the eye of the Lord is on those in whose hearts is the fear of him, on those whose hope is in his mercy;Lo, the eye of Jehovah [is] to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,
Psalms 33:19To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.To keep their souls from death; and to keep them living in time of need.To deliver from death their soul, And to keep them alive in famine.
Psalms 33:20Our soul hath waited for Jehovah: He is our help and our shield. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.Our souls are waiting for the Lord; he is our help and our salvation.Our soul hath waited for Jehovah, Our help and our shield [is] He,
Psalms 33:21For our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.For in him our hearts have joy; in his holy name is our hope.For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted.
Psalms 33:22Let thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, According as we have hoped in thee. Psalm 34 A Psalm of David; when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.Let your mercy be on us, O Lord, as we are waiting for you.Let Thy kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, As we have waited for Thee!
