Psalms 83:1O God, keep not thou silence: Hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. A song, or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.{A Song; a Psalm of Asaph.} O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O ùGod:Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for the sons of Core.
Psalms 83:2For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult; And they that hate thee have lifted up the head. For lo, thy enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of host!
Psalms 83:3Thy take crafty counsel against thy people, And consult together against thy hidden ones. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God.
Psalms 83:4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. Psalms 83:5For they have consulted together with one consent; Against thee do they make a covenant: For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee,For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever.
Psalms 83:6The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagarenes; The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;Blessed is the man whose help is from thee: in his heart he hath disposed to ascend by steps,
Psalms 83:7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre: Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;in the vale of tears, in the place which be hath set.
Psalms 83:8Assyria also is joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot. Selah Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. Selah.Asshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.
Psalms 83:9Do thou unto them as unto Midian, As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon; Do to them as to the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:Do unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob.
Psalms 83:10Who perished at Endor, Who became as dung for the earth. Who perished at En-dor: they became as dung for the earth.Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ.
Psalms 83:11Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; Yea, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna; Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yes, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.For better is one day in thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners.
Psalms 83:12Who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession The habitations of God. Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.For God loveth mercy and truth: the Lord will give grace and glory.
Psalms 83:13O my God, make them like the whirling dust; As stubble before the wind. O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.He will not deprive of good things them that walk in innocence : O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Psalms 83:14As the fire that burneth the forest, And as the flame that setteth the mountains on fire, As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,
Psalms 83:15So pursue them with thy tempest, And terrify them with thy storm. So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.
Psalms 83:16Fill their faces with confusion, That they may seek thy name, O Jehovah. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
