| Psalms 35:6 | Let their way be dark and slippery, And the angel of Jehovah pursuing them. | | Let their way be dark and slippery, The angel of Yahweh pursuing them. | O Lord, thy mercy is in heaven, and thy truth reacheth, even to the clouds. |
| Psalms 35:7 | For without cause have they hid for me their net [in] a pit; Without cause have they digged [a pit] for my soul. | | For without cause have they hid their net in a pit for me. Without cause have they dug a pit for my soul. | Thy justice is as the mountains of God, thy judgments are a great deep. Men and beasts thou wilt preserve, O Lord : |
| Psalms 35:8 | Let destruction come upon him unawares; And let his net that he hath hid catch himself: With destruction let him fall therein. | | Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Into that destruction let him fall. | O how hast thou multiplied thy mercy, O God! But the children of men shall put their trust under the covert of thy wings. |
| Psalms 35:9 | And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah: It shall rejoice in his salvation. | | My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh. It shall rejoice in his salvation. | They shall be inebriated with the plenty of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the torrent of thy pleasure. |
| Psalms 35:10 | All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, Who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him? | | All my bones shall say, "Yahweh, who is like you, Who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?" | For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light. |
| Psalms 35:11 | Unrighteous witnesses rise up; They ask me of things that I know not. | | Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don't know about. | Extend thy mercy to them that know thee, and thy justice to them that are right in heart. |
| Psalms 35:12 | They reward me evil for good, [To] the bereaving of my soul. | | They reward me evil for good, To the bereaving of my soul. | Let not the foot of pride come to me, and let not the hand of the sinner move me. |
| Psalms 35:13 | But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into mine own bosom. | | But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom. | There the workers of iniquity are fallen, they are cast out, and could not stand. |
| Psalms 35:14 | I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother. | | I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother. | |
| Psalms 35:15 | But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; They did tear me, and ceased not: | | But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn't know it. They tore at me, and didn't cease. | |
| Psalms 35:16 | Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth. | | Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed their teeth at me. | |

| Psalms 35:20 | For they speak not peace; But they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land. | | For they don't speak peace, But they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land. | |
| Psalms 35:21 | Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me; They said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. | | Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, "Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!" | |

| Psalms 35:25 | Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it: Let them not say, We have swallowed him up. | | Don't let them say in their heart, "Aha! That's the way we want it." Don't let them say, "We have swallowed him up!" | |
