| Psalms 71:4 | Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. | | Rescue me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, From the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. | He shall judge the poor of the people, and he shall save the children of the poor: and he shall humble the oppressor. |
| Psalms 71:5 | For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: [Thou art] my trust from my youth. | | For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh; My confidence from my youth. | And he shall continue with the sun, and before the moon, throughout all generations. |

You are he who took me out of my mother's womb. I will always praise you. | He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth. |

| Psalms 71:9 | Cast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth. | | Don't reject me in my old age. Don't forsake me when my strength fails. | Before him the Ethiopians shall fall down: and his enemies shall lick the ground. |
| Psalms 71:10 | For mine enemies speak concerning me; And they that watch for my soul take counsel together, | | For my enemies talk about me. Those who watch for my soul conspire together, | The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts: |
| Psalms 71:11 | Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver. | | Saying, "God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him." | And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him. |
| Psalms 71:12 | O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me. | | God, don't be far from me. My God, hurry to help me. | For he shall deliver the poor from the mighty: and the needy that had no helper. |
| Psalms 71:13 | Let them be put to shame [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt. | | Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed. Let them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me. | He shall spare the poor and needy: and he shall save the souls of the poor. |
| Psalms 71:14 | But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more. | | But I will always hope, And will add to all of your praise. | He shall redeem their souls from usuries and iniquity: and their names shall be honourable in his sight. |
| Psalms 71:15 | My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, [And] of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers [thereof]. | | My mouth will tell about your righteousness, And of your salvation all day, Though I don't know its full measure. | And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Arabia, for him they shall always adore: they shall bless him all the day. |
