Job 32:1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. And these three men cease from answering Job, for he [is] righteous in his own eyes,So these three men gave no more answers to Job, because he seemed to himself to be right. So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he seemed just to himself.
Job 32:2Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God. and burn doth the anger of Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram; against Job hath his anger burned, because of his justifying himself more than God;And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was angry, burning with wrath against Job, because he seemed to himself more right than God;And Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram, was angry and was moved to indignation : now he was angry against Job, because he said he was just before God.
Job 32:3Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job. and against his three friends hath his anger burned, because that they have not found an answer, and condemn Job.And he was angry with his three friends, because they had been unable to give him an answer, and had not made Job's sin clear. And he was angry with his friends because they had not found a reasonable answer, but only had condemned Job.
Job 32:4Now Elihu had waited to speak unto Job, because they were elder than he. And Elihu hath waited earnestly beside Job with words, for they are older than he in days. Now Elihu had kept quiet while Job was talking, because they were older than he;So Eliu waited while Job was speaking, because they were his elders that were speaking.
Job 32:5And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled. And Elihu seeth that there is no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger burneth. And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, he was very angry. But when he saw that the three were not able to answer, he was exceedingly angry.
Job 32:6And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion. And Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite answereth and saith: Young I [am] in days, and ye [are] age Therefore I have feared, And am afraid of shewing you my opinion. And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, made answer and said, I am young, and you are very old, so I was in fear, and kept myself from putting my knowledge before you. Then Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said : I am younger in days, and you are more ancient; therefore hanging down my head, I was afraid to shew you my opinion.
Job 32:7I said, Days should speak, And multitude of years should teach wisdom. I said: Days do speak, And multitude of years teach wisdom.I said to myself, It is right for the old to say what is in their minds, and for those who are far on in years to give out wisdom. For I hoped that greater age would speak, and that a multitude of years would teach wisdom.
Job 32:8But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding. Surely a spirit is in man, And the breath of the Mighty One Doth cause them to understand. But truly it is the spirit in man, even the breath of the Ruler of all, which gives them knowledge. But, as I see, there is a spirit in men, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth understanding.
Job 32:9It is not the great that are wise, Nor the aged that understand justice. The multitude are not wise, Nor do the aged understand judgment. It is not the old who are wise, and those who are full of years have not the knowledge of what is right. They that are aged are not the wise men, neither do the ancients understand judgment.
Job 32:10Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will show mine opinion. Therefore I have said: Hearken to me, I do shew my opinion even I.So I say, Give ear to me, and I will put forward my knowledge. Therefore I will speak : Hearken to me, I also will shew you my wisdom.
Job 32:11Behold, I waited for your words, I listened for your reasonings, Whilst ye searched out what to say. Lo, I have waited for your words, I give ear unto your reasons, Till ye search out sayings.I was waiting for your words, I was giving ear to your wise sayings; while you were searching out what to say,For I have waited for your words, I have given ear to your wisdom, as long as you were disputing in words.
Job 32:12Yea, I attended unto you, And, behold, there was none that convinced Job, Or that answered his words, among you. And unto you I attend, And lo, there is no reasoner for Job, [Or] answerer of his sayings among you.I was taking note; and truly not one of you was able to make clear Job's error, or to give an answer to his words. And as long as I thought you said some thing, I considered : but, as I see, there is none of you that can convince Job, and answer his words.
Job 32:13Beware lest ye say, We have found wisdom; God may vanquish him, not man: Lest ye say, We have found wisdom, God doth thrust him away, not man.Take care that you do not say, Wisdom is here; God may overcome him, but not man.Lest you should say : We have found wisdom, God hath cast him down, not man.
Job 32:14For he hath not directed his words against me; Neither will I answer him with your speeches. And he hath not set in array words for me, And with your sayings I do not answer him.I will not put forward words like these, or make use of your sayings in answer to him.He hath spoken nothing to me, and I will not answer him according to your words.
Job 32:15They are amazed, they answer no more: They have not a word to say. (They have broken down, They have not answered again, They removed from themselves words.Fear has overcome them, they have no more answers to give; they have come to an end of words. They were afraid, and answered no more, and they left off speaking.
Job 32:16And shall I wait, because they speak not, Because they stand still, and answer no more? And I have waited, but they do not speak, For they have stood still, They have not answered any more.)And am I to go on waiting while they have nothing to say? while they keep quiet and give no more answers? Therefore because I have waited, and they have not spoken : they stood, and answered no more :
Job 32:17I also will answer my part, I also will show mine opinion. I answer, even I my share, I shew my opinion even I.I will give my answer; I will put forward my knowledge:I also will answer my part, and will shew my knowledge.
Job 32:18For I am full of words; The spirit within me constraineth me. For I have been full of words, Distressed me hath the spirit of my breast,For I am full of words, I am unable to keep in my breath any longer:Behold, my belly is as new wine which wanteth vent, which bursteth the new vessels.
Job 32:19Behold, my breast is as wine which hath no vent; Like new wine-skins it is ready to burst. Lo, my breast [is] as wine not opened, Like new bottles it is broken up.My stomach is like wine which is unable to get out; like skins full of new wine, it is almost burst.I will speak and take breath a little : I will open my lips, and will answer.
Job 32:20I will speak, that I may be refreshed; I will open my lips and answer. I speak, and there is refreshment to me, I open my lips and answer.Let me say what is in my mind, so that I may get comfort; let me give answer with open mouth.I will not accept the person of man, and I will not level God with man.
Job 32:21Let me not, I pray you, respect any man's person; Neither will I give flattering titles unto any man. Let me not, I pray you, accept the face of any, Nor unto man give flattering titles,Let me not give respect to any man, or give names of honour to any living. For I know not how long I shall continue, and whether after a while my Maker may take me away.
Job 32:22For I know not to give flattering titles; [Else] would my Maker soon take me away. For I have not known to give flattering titles, In a little doth my Maker take me away. For I am not able to give names of honour to any man; and if I did, my Maker would quickly take me away.
