| Psalms 14:1 | The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good. | To the Overseer. By David. A fool hath said in his heart, `God is not;` They have done corruptly, They have done abominable actions, There is not a doer of good. | A psalm of David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill? | <To the chief music-maker. Of David.> The foolish man has said in his heart, God will not do anything. They are unclean, they have done evil works; there is not one who does good. |
| Psalms 14:2 | Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God. | Jehovah from the heavens Hath looked on the sons of men, To see if there is a wise one seeking God. | He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice: | The Lord was looking down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who had wisdom, searching after God. |

Those consuming my people have eaten bread, Jehovah they have not called. | In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not; | Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord. |
