Job 10:1My soul is weary of my life; I will give free course to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. My soul hath been weary of my life, I leave off my talking to myself, I speak in the bitterness of my soul."My soul is weary of my life; I will give free course to my complaint. I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.My soul is weary of my life, I will let go my speech against myself, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
Job 10:2I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me. I say unto God, `Do not condemn me, Let me know why Thou dost strive [with] me.I will tell God, 'Do not condemn me, Show me why you contend with me.I will say to God: Do not condemn me: tell me why thou judgest me so.
Job 10:3Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, And shine upon the counsel of the wicked? Is it good for Thee that Thou dost oppress? That Thou despisest the labour of Thy hands, And on the counsel of the wicked hast shone? Is it good to you that you should oppress, That you should despise the work of your hands, And smile on the counsel of the wicked?Doth it seem good to thee that thou shouldst calumniate me, and oppress me, the work of thy own hands, and help the counsel of the wicked?
Job 10:4Hast thou eyes of flesh? Or seest thou as man seeth? Eyes of flesh hast Thou? As man seeth seest Thou?Do you have eyes of flesh? Or do you see as man sees?Hast thou eyes of flesh: or, shalt thou see as man seeth?
Job 10:5Are thy days as the days of man, Or thy years as man's days, As the days of man [are] Thy days? Thy years as the days of a man?Are your days as the days of mortals, Or your years as man's years,Are thy days as the days of man, and are thy years as the times of men:
Job 10:6That thou inquirest after mine iniquity, And searchest after my sin, That Thou inquirest for mine iniquity, And for my sin seekest? That you inquire after my iniquity, And search after my sin? That thou shouldst inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin?
Job 10:7Although thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is none that can deliver out of thy hand? For Thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is no deliverer from Thy hand.Although you know that I am not wicked, There is no one who can deliver out of your hand. And shouldst know that I have done no wicked thing, whereas there is no man that can deliver out of thy hand.
Job 10:8Thy hands have framed me and fashioned me Together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. Thy hands have taken pains about me, And they make me together round about, And Thou swallowest me up!'Your hands have framed me and fashioned me altogether; Yet you destroy me.Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me wholly round about, and dost thou thus cast me down headlong on a sudden?
Job 10:9Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast fashioned me as clay; And wilt thou bring me into dust again? Remember, I pray Thee, That as clay Thou hast made me, And unto dust Thou dost bring me back.Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay. Will you bring me into dust again?Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay, and thou wilt bring me into dust again.
Job 10:10Hast thou not poured me out as milk, And curdled me like cheese? Dost Thou not as milk pour me out? And as cheese curdle me?Haven't you poured me out like milk, And curdled me like cheese?Hast thou not milked me as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
Job 10:11Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews. Skin and flesh Thou dost put on me, And with bones and sinews dost fence me.You have clothed me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews.Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh: thou hast put me together with bones and sinews:
Job 10:12Thou hast granted me life and lovingkindness; And thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. Life and kindness Thou hast done with me. And Thy inspection hath preserved my spirit. You have granted me life and lovingkindness. Your visitation has preserved my spirit.Thou hast granted me life and mercy, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
Job 10:13Yet these things thou didst hide in thy heart; I know that this is with thee: And these Thou hast laid up in Thy heart, I have known that this [is] with Thee.Yet you hid these things in your heart. I know that this is with you:Although thou conceal these things in thy heart, yet I know that thou rememberest all things.
Job 10:14If I sin, then thou markest me, And thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. If I sinned, then Thou hast observed me, And from mine iniquity dost not acquit me,If I sin, then you mark me. You will not acquit me from my iniquity. If I have sinned and thou hast spared me for an hour: why dost thou not suffer me to be clean from my iniquity?
Job 10:15If I be wicked, woe unto me; And if I be righteous, yet shall I not lift up my head; Being filled with ignominy, And looking upon mine affliction. If I have done wickedly wo to me, And righteously I lift not up my head, Full of shame then see my affliction,If I am wicked, woe to me. If I am righteous, I still shall not lift up my head, Being filled with disgrace, And conscious of my affliction. And if I be wicked, woe unto me: and if just, I shall not lift up my head, being filled with affliction and misery.
Job 10:16And if [my head] exalt itself, thou huntest me as a lion; And again thou showest thyself marvellous upon me. And it riseth as a lion Thou huntest me. And Thou turnest back Thou shewest Thyself wonderful in me.If my head is held high, you hunt me like a lion. Again you show yourself powerful to me.And for pride thou wilt take me as a lioness, and returning thou tormentest me wonderfully.
Job 10:17Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, And increasest thine indignation upon me: Changes and warfare are with me. Thou renewest Thy witnesses against me, And dost multiply Thine anger with me, Changes and warfare [are] with me.You renew your witnesses against me, And increase your indignation on me. Changes and warfare are with me.Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and multipliest thy wrath upon me, and pains war against me.
Job 10:18Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me. And why from the womb Hast Thou brought me forth? I expire, and the eye doth not see me."'Why, then, have you brought me forth out of the womb? I wish I had given up the spirit, and no eye had seen me.Why didst thou bring me forth out of the womb: O that I had been consumed that eye might not see me!
Job 10:19I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave. As I had not been, I am, From the belly to the grave I am brought,I should have been as though I had not been. I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.I should have been as if I had not been, carried from the womb to the grave.
Job 10:20Are not my days few? cease then, And let me alone, that I may take comfort a little, Are not my days few? Cease then, and put from me, And I brighten up a little,Aren't my days few? Cease then, Leave me alone, that I may find a little comfort,Shall not the fewness of my days be ended shortly? suffer me, therefore, that I may lament my sorrow a little:
Job 10:21Before I go whence I shall not return, [Even] to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; Before I go, and return not, Unto a land of darkness and death-shade,Before I go where I shall not return from, To the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; Before I go, and return no more, to a land that is dark and covered with the mist of death:
Job 10:22The land dark as midnight, [The land] of the shadow of death, without any order, And where the light is as midnight. A land of obscurity as thick darkness, Death-shade and no order, And the shining [is] as thick darkness.`The land dark as midnight, Of the shadow of death, without any order, Where the light is as midnight.'"A land of misery and darkness, where the shadow of death, and no order, but everlasting horror dwelleth.
