| Psalms 70:1 | <To the chief music-maker. Of David. To keep in memory.> Let your salvation come quickly, O God; come quickly to my help, O Lord. | [Make haste], O God, to deliver me; Make haste to help me, O Jehovah. | A psalm for David. Of the sons of Jonadab, and the former captives. In thee, O Lord, I have hoped, let me never be put to confusion: | To the Overseer, by David. `To cause to remember.` O God, to deliver me, O Jehovah, for my help, haste. |
| Psalms 70:2 | Let those who go after my soul have shame and trouble; let those who have evil designs against me be turned back and made foolish. | Let them be put to shame and confounded That seek after my soul: Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor That delight in my hurt. | deliver me in thy justice, and rescue me. Incline thy ear unto me, and save me. | Let them be ashamed and confounded Who are seeking my soul, Let them be turned backward and blush Who are desiring my evil. |
