Psalms 92:1<A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.> It is a good thing to give praise to the Lord, and to make melody to your name, O Most High;It is a good thing to give thanks unto Jehovah, And to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High; The Lord hath reigned, he is clothed with beauty: the Lord is clothed with strength, and hath girded himself. For he hath established the world which shall not be moved.A Psalm. A Song for the sabbath-day. Good to give thanks to Jehovah, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High,
Psalms 92:2To make clear your mercy in the morning, and your unchanging faith every night;To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, And thy faithfulness every night, Thy throne is prepared from of old: thou art from everlasting.To declare in the morning Thy kindness, And Thy faithfulness in the nights.
Psalms 92:3On a ten-corded instrument, and on an instrument of music with a quiet sound.With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; With a solemn sound upon the harp. The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,On ten strings and on psaltery, On higgaion, with harp.
Psalms 92:4For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will have joy in the works of your hands.For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. with the noise of many waters. Wonderful are the surges of the sea: wonderful is the Lord on high.For Thou hast caused me to rejoice, O Jehovah, in Thy work, Concerning the works of Thy hands I sing.
Psalms 92:5O Lord, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep.How great are thy works, O Jehovah! Thy thoughts are very deep. Thy testimonies are become exceedingly credible: holiness becometh thy house, O Lord, unto length of days.How great have been Thy works, O Jehovah, Very deep have been Thy thoughts.
Psalms 92:6A man without sense has no knowledge of this; and a foolish man may not take it in.A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this: A brutish man doth not know, And a fool understandeth not this;
Psalms 92:7When the sinners come up like the grass, and all the workers of evil do well for themselves, it is so that their end may be eternal destruction.When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever. When the wicked flourish as a herb, And blossom do all workers of iniquity For their being destroyed for ever and ever!
Psalms 92:8But you, O Lord, are on high for ever.But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore. And Thou [art] high to the age, O Jehovah.
Psalms 92:9For see! your haters, O Lord, will be put to death; all the workers of evil will be put to flight;For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, thine enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. For, lo, Thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, Thine enemies, do perish, Separate themselves do all workers of iniquity.
Psalms 92:10But my horn is lifted up like the horn of the ox: the best oil is flowing on my head.But my horn hast thou exalted like [the horn of] the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil. And Thou exaltest as a reem my horn, I have been anointed with fresh oil.
Psalms 92:11My eyes have seen trouble come on my haters; my ears have news of the fate of the evil-doers who have come up against me.Mine eye also hath seen [my desire] on mine enemies, Mine ears have heard [my desire] of the evil-doers that rise up against me. And mine eye looketh on mine enemies, Of those rising up against me, The evil doers, do mine ears hear.
Psalms 92:12The good man will be like a tall tree in his strength; his growth will be as the wide-stretching trees of Lebanon.The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. The righteous as a palm-tree flourisheth, As a cedar in Lebanon he groweth.
Psalms 92:13Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens.They are planted in the house of Jehovah; They shall flourish in the courts of our God. Those planted in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of our God do flourish.
Psalms 92:14They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth;They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green: Still they bring forth in old age, Fat and flourishing are they,
Psalms 92:15For a sign that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, there is no deceit in him.To show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Psalm 93 To declare that upright [is] Jehovah my rock, And there is no perverseness in Him!
