Psalms 65:1<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. A Song.> It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed. To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. A Song. To Thee, silence praise, O God, [is] in Zion, And to Thee is a vow completed.
Psalms 65:2To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come. Hearer of prayer, to Thee all flesh cometh.
Psalms 65:3Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them. Matters of iniquities were mightier than I, Our transgressions Thou dost cover them.
Psalms 65:4Happy is the man of your selection, to whom you give a resting-place in your house; we will be full of the good things out of your holy place.Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach [unto thee], That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple. O the happiness of [him whom] Thou choosest, And drawest near, he inhabiteth Thy courts, We are satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple.
Psalms 65:5You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, Oh God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea: By fearful things in righteousness Thou answerest us, O God of our salvation, The confidence of all far off ends of earth and sea.
Psalms 65:6The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might; Establishing mountains by His power, He hath been girded with might,
Psalms 65:7Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples. Restraining the noise of seas, the noise of their billows, And the multitude of the peoples.
Psalms 65:8Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. And the inhabitants of the uttermost parts From Thy signs are afraid, The outgoings of morning and evening Thou causest to sing.
Psalms 65:9You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth. Thou hast inspected the earth, and waterest it, Thou makest it very rich, the rivulet of God [is] full of water, Thou preparest their corn, When thus Thou dost prepare it,
Psalms 65:10You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth.Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof. Its ridges have been filled, Deepened hath been its furrow, With showers Thou dost soften it, Its springing up Thou blessest.
Psalms 65:11The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness. Thou hast crowned the year of Thy goodness, And Thy paths drop fatness.
Psalms 65:12Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy. Drop do the pastures of a wilderness, And joy of the heights Thou girdest on.
Psalms 65:13The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered over with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing. Psalm 66 For the Chief Musician. A song, a Psalm. Clothed have lambs the flock, And valleys are covered with corn, They shout yea, they sing!
