Psalms 72:1<Of Solomon.> Give the king your authority, O God, and your righteousness to the king's son.Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king's son. By Solomon. O God, Thy judgments to the king give, And Thy righteousness to the king`s son.God, give the king your justice; Your righteousness to the royal son.
Psalms 72:2May he be a judge of your people in righteousness, and make true decisions for the poor.He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice. He judgeth Thy people with righteousness, And Thy poor with judgment.He will judge your people with righteousness, And your poor with justice.
Psalms 72:3May the mountains give peace to the people, and the hills righteousness.The mountains shall bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people; The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
Psalms 72:4May he be a judge of the poor among the people, may he give salvation to the children of those who are in need; by him let the violent be crushed.He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor. He judgeth the poor of the people, Giveth deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruiseth the oppressor.He will judge the poor of the people. Psalms 72:5May his life go on as long as the sun and moon, through all generations.They shall fear thee while the sun endureth, And so long as the moon, throughout all generations. They fear Thee with the sun, and before the moon, Generation generations.They shall fear you while the sun endures; And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
Psalms 72:6May he come down like rain on the cut grass; like showers watering the earth.He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, As showers that water the earth. He cometh down as rain on mown grass, As showers sprinkling the earth.He will come down like rain on the mown grass, As showers that water the earth.
Psalms 72:7In his days may the upright do well, living in peace as long as there is a moon in heaven.In his days shall the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace, till the moon be no more. Psalms 72:11Yes, let all kings go down before him; let all nations be his servants.Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him. And all kings do bow themselves to him, All nations do serve him,Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.
Psalms 72:12For he will be a saviour to the poor in answer to his cry; and to him who is in need, without a helper.For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper. For he delivereth the needy who crieth, And the poor when he hath no helper,For he will deliver the needy when he cries; The poor, who has no helper.
Psalms 72:13He will have pity on the poor, and be the saviour of those who are in need.He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save. Psalms 72:14He will keep their souls free from evil designs and violent attacks; and their blood will be of value in his eyes.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight: From fraud and from violence he redeemeth their soul, And precious is their blood in his eyes.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Psalms 72:15May he have long life, and may gold from Sheba be given to him: may prayers be made for him at all times; may blessings be on him every day.And they shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: And men shall pray for him continually; They shall bless him all the day long. And he liveth, and giveth to him of the gold of Sheba, And prayeth for him continually, All the day he doth bless him.They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Psalms 72:16May there be wide-stretching fields of grain in the land, shaking on the top of the mountains, full of fruit like Lebanon: may its stems be unnumbered like the grass of the earth.There shall be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains; The fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. There is a handful of corn in the earth, On the top of mountains, Shake like Lebanon doth its fruit, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
Psalms 72:17May his name go on for ever, as long as the sun: may men be blessing themselves by him; may all nations be blessing his name.His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in him; All nations shall call him happy. His name is to the age, Before the sun is his name continued, And they bless themselves in him, All nations do pronounce him happy.His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
Psalms 72:18Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, the only doer of wonders.Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel, Who only doeth wondrous things: Blessed is Jehovah God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,Praise be to Yahweh God, the God of Israel, Who alone does marvelous deeds.
Psalms 72:19Praise to the glory of his noble name for ever; let all the earth be full of his glory. So be it, So be it.And blessed be his glorious name for ever; And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.
