| 2nd-Corinthians 5:1 | For we are conscious that if this our tent of flesh is taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in heaven. | For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. |
| 2nd-Corinthians 5:2 | For in this we are crying in weariness, greatly desiring to be clothed with our house from heaven: | For verily in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven: |
| 2nd-Corinthians 5:3 | So that our spirits may not be unclothed. | if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. |
| 2nd-Corinthians 5:4 | For truly, we who are in this tent do give out cries of weariness, for the weight of care which is on us; not because we are desiring to be free from the body, but so that we may have our new body, and death may be overcome by life. | For indeed we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life. |

| 2nd-Corinthians 5:19 | That is, that God was in Christ making peace between the world and himself, not putting their sins to their account, and having given to us the preaching of this news of peace. | to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation. |
| 2nd-Corinthians 5:20 | So we are the representatives of Christ, as if God was making a request to you through us: we make our request to you, in the name of Christ, be at peace with God. | We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech [you] on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God. |
