Psalms 14:1<To the chief music-maker. Of David.> The foolish man has said in his heart, God will not do anything. They are unclean, they have done evil works; there is not one who does good.The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.
Psalms 14:2The Lord was looking down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who had wisdom, searching after God.Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.
Psalms 14:3They have all gone out of the way together; they are unclean, there is not one who does good, no, not one.They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psalms 14:4Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord.Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?
Psalms 14:5Then were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the upright.There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous.
Psalms 14:6You have put to shame the thoughts of the poor, but the Lord is his support.Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge.
Psalms 14:7May the salvation of Israel come out of Zion! when the fate of his people is changed by the Lord, Jacob will have joy and Israel will be glad.Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad. Psalm 15 A Psalm of David.
