Psalms 33:1Be glad in the Lord, O doers of righteousness; for praise is beautiful for the upright.Rejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.
Psalms 33:2Give praise to the Lord on the corded instrument; make melody to him with instruments of music.Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp: Sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings.
Psalms 33:3Make a new song to him; playing expertly with a loud noise.Sing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise.
Psalms 33:4For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are certain.For the word of Jehovah is right; And all his work is [done] in faithfulness.
Psalms 33:5His delight is in righteousness and wisdom; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.He loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah.
Psalms 33:6By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the army of heaven by the breath of his mouth.By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Psalms 33:7He makes the waters of the sea come together in a mass; he keeps the deep seas in store-houses.He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.
Psalms 33:8Let the earth be full of the fear of the Lord; let all the people of the world be in holy fear of him.Let all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
Psalms 33:9For he gave the word, and it was done; by his order it was fixed for ever.For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Psalms 33:10The Lord undoes the designs of the nations; he makes the thoughts of the peoples without effect.Jehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
Psalms 33:11The Lord's purpose is eternal, the designs of his heart go on through all the generations of man.The counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Psalms 33:12Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has taken for his heritage.Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psalms 33:13The Lord is looking down from heaven; he sees all the sons of men;Jehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;
Psalms 33:14From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth;From the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth,
Psalms 33:15He makes all their hearts; their works are clear to him.He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.
Psalms 33:16A king's salvation is not in the power of his army; a strong man does not get free by his great strength.There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
Psalms 33:17A horse is a false hope; his great power will not make any man free from danger.A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither doth he deliver any by his great power.
Psalms 33:18See, the eye of the Lord is on those in whose hearts is the fear of him, on those whose hope is in his mercy;Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;
Psalms 33:19To keep their souls from death; and to keep them living in time of need.To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
Psalms 33:20Our souls are waiting for the Lord; he is our help and our salvation.Our soul hath waited for Jehovah: He is our help and our shield.
Psalms 33:21For in him our hearts have joy; in his holy name is our hope.For our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.
Psalms 33:22Let your mercy be on us, O Lord, as we are waiting for you.Let thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, According as we have hoped in thee. Psalm 34 A Psalm of David; when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.
