| Psalms 85:1 | <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.> Lord, you were good to your land: changing the fate of Jacob. | Jehovah, thou hast been favorable unto thy land; Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. |
| Psalms 85:2 | The wrongdoing of your people had forgiveness; all their sin had been covered. (Selah.) | Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah |
| Psalms 85:3 | You were no longer angry: you were turned from the heat of your wrath. | Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; Thou hast turned [thyself] from the fierceness of thine anger. |
| Psalms 85:4 | Come back to us, O God of our salvation, and be angry with us no longer. | Turn us, O God of our salvation, And cause thine indignation toward us to cease. |
| Psalms 85:5 | Will you go on being angry with us for ever? will you keep your wrath against us through all the long generations? | Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? |

| Psalms 85:7 | Let us see your mercy, O Lord, and give us your salvation. | Show us thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, And grant us thy salvation. |
| Psalms 85:8 | I will give ear to the voice of the Lord; for he will say words of peace to his people and to his saints; but let them not go back to their foolish ways. | I will hear what God Jehovah will speak; For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: But let them not turn again to folly. |
| Psalms 85:9 | Truly, his salvation is near to his worshippers; so that glory may be in our land. | Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, That glory may dwell in our land. |
| Psalms 85:10 | Mercy and faith have come together; righteousness and peace have given one another a kiss. | Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. |
| Psalms 85:11 | Faith comes up from the earth like a plant; righteousness is looking down from heaven. | Truth springeth out of the earth; And righteousness hath looked down from heaven. |
| Psalms 85:12 | The Lord will give what is good; and our land will give its increase. | Yea, Jehovah will give that which is good; And our land shall yield its increase. |
