Psalms 42:1<To the chief music-maker. Maschil. Of the sons of Korah.> Like the desire of the roe for the water-streams, so is my soul's desire for you, O God.{To the chief Musician. An instruction; of the sons of Korah.} As the hart panteth after the water-brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God. To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so my soul panteth after thee, O God.
Psalms 42:2My soul is dry for need of God, the living God; when may I come and see the face of God?My soul thirsteth for God, for the living ùGod: when shall I come and appear before God?My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God? My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Psalms 42:3My tears have been my food day and night, while they keep saying to me, Where is your God?My tears have been my bread day and night, while they say unto me all the day, Where is thy God?My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say to me, Where is thy God?
Psalms 42:4Let my soul be overflowing with grief when these things come back to my mind, how I went in company to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with the song of those who were keeping the feast. These things I remember and have poured out my soul within me: how I passed along with the multitude, how I went on with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, a festive multitude. These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, How I went with the throng, and led them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping holyday. When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holy-day.
Psalms 42:5Why are you crushed down, O my soul? and why are you troubled in me? put your hope in God; for I will again give him praise who is my help and my God.Why art thou cast down, my soul, and art disquieted in me? hope in God; for I shall yet praise him, [for] the health of his countenance. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And [why] art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him [For] the help of his countenance. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Psalms 42:6My soul is crushed down in me, so I will keep you in mind; from the land of Jordan and of the Hermons, from the hill Mizar. My God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore do I remember thee from the land of the Jordan, and the Hermons, from mount Mizar.O my God, my soul is cast down within me: Therefore do I remember thee from the land of the Jordan, And the Hermons, from the hill Mizar. Psalms 42:7Deep is sounding to deep at the noise of your waterfalls; all your waves have gone rolling over me.Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy cataracts; all thy breakers and thy billows are gone over me.Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterfalls: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Deep calleth to deep at the noise of thy water-spouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Psalms 42:8But the Lord will send his mercy in the daytime, and in the night his song will be with me, a prayer to the God of my life.In the day-time will Jehovah command his loving-kindness, and in the night his song shall be with me, a prayer unto the ùGod of my life.[Yet] Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day-time; And in the night his song shall be with me, [Even] a prayer unto the God of my life. Yet the LORD will command his loving-kindness in the day-time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer to the God of my life.

Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? I will say to God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Psalms 42:10The cruel words of my haters are like a crushing of my bones; when they say to me every day, Where is your God?As with a crushing in my bones mine adversaries reproach me, while they say unto me all the day, Where is thy God?As with a sword in my bones, mine adversaries reproach me, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? As with a sword in my bones, my enemies reproach me; while they say daily to me, Where is thy God?
