| Psalms 80:1 | <To the chief music-maker; put to Shoshannim-eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.> Give ear, O Keeper of Israel, guiding Joseph like a flock; you who have your seat on the winged ones, let your glory be seen. | {To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth. | Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for Asaph himself. | Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. |
| Psalms 80:2 | Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, let your strength be awake from sleep, and come as our salvation. | Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance. | Rejoice to God our helper: sing aloud to the God of Jacob. | Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. |
| Psalms 80:3 | Take us back again, O God; let us see the shining of your face, and let us be safe. | O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. | Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel: the pleasant psaltery with the harp. | Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
| Psalms 80:4 | O Lord God of armies, how long will your wrath be burning against the rest of your people? | Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people? | Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity. | O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? |
| Psalms 80:5 | You have given them the bread of weeping for food; for their drink you have given them sorrow in great measure. | Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure: | For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob. | Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. |
| Psalms 80:6 | You make us a cause of war among our neighbours; our haters are laughing at us among themselves. | Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves. | He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not. | Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. |
| Psalms 80:7 | Take us back again, O God of armies; let us see the shining of your face, and let us be safe. | Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. | He removed his back from the burdens: his hands had served in baskets. | Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
| Psalms 80:8 | You took a vine out of Egypt: driving out the nations, and planting it in their land. | Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it: | Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction. | Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. |
| Psalms 80:9 | You made ready a place for it, so that it might take deep root, and it sent out its branches over all the land. | Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land; | Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me, | Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. |
| Psalms 80:10 | The mountains were covered with its shade, and the great trees with its branches. | The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of ùGod; | there shall be no new god in thee: neither shalt thou adore a strange god. | The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. |
| Psalms 80:11 | It sent out its arms to the Sea, and its branches to the River. | It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river. | For I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. | She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. |
| Psalms 80:12 | Why are its walls broken down by your hands, so that all who go by may take its fruit? | Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it? | But my people heard not my voice: and Israel hearkened not to me. | Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? |
| Psalms 80:13 | It is uprooted by the pigs from the woods, the beasts of the field get their food from it. | The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it. | So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions. | The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it. |
| Psalms 80:14 | Come back, O God of armies: from heaven let your eyes be turned to this vine, and give your mind to it, | O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine; | If my people had heard me: if Israel had walked in my ways: | Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; |
| Psalms 80:15 | Even to the tree which was planted by your right hand, and to the branch which you made strong for yourself. | Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself. | I should soon have humbled their enemies, and laid my hand on them that troubled them. | And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. |
| Psalms 80:16 | It is burned with fire; it is cut down: they are made waste by the wrath of your face. | It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. | The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever. | It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. |
| Psalms 80:17 | Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself. | Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself. | And he fed them with the fat of wheat, and filled them with honey out of the rock. | Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. |
| Psalms 80:18 | So will we not be turned back from you; keep us in life, and we will give praise to your name. | So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name. | | So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. |
| Psalms 80:19 | Take us back, O Lord God of armies; let us see the shining of your face, and let us be safe. | Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. | | Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
